As "soon" as you get your cards back from a year ago.
How much demand can there be in Japan? At these prices no one is grading anything. Thought there was more action in HK/China/Korea. |

There are quite a few sub groups based over here. Just never got around to sending because of the inflated commission and insurance rates.

Id say there are more card collectors here than anywhere else in the world. A year ago Id rarely see any PSA stuff for sale over here but grading has really taken off this year. More and more are being sold. |

So apparently there is a plan to set up a grading unit in Japan. They are looking to kick it off by 2023. A long way away but we in Japan will soon be able to grade locally.
The slabs will be identical to the US ones and use the exact same methods as their California base. |

There's only been 289 soccer cards graded by PSA from 2021 products....
It won't be any different for 2022+ if grading still costs $100 + |

That has nothing to do with PSA opening a grading office in Japan. It didn’t say PSA is opening a soccer grading office in Japan. I’m glad to teach you what TCGs are. You are the dumbest person that posts here so I’m willing to give you all the help you need. We would all rather you just go away but if you are going to be here at least learn to read.

So overproduced. After all the old stuff is graded who's going to grade all this junk. Speculators/Investors do most of the grading once things don't sell they leave. They've already stopped trying to flip most of the wax because it is so badly overprinted. Stacks of Celebrations everywhere. Tripping over that garbage. |

Probably a pretty solid idea, though I don't know what demand will look like. I think it's going to be hard for JPN sellers to compete in the US market, owing to shipping costs, and if my experience is any indication there just aren't a lot of Japanese slab collectors. I sold my first graded TCG card in Feb '17, and have sold 10's of thousands since then, and I don't think I've sold more than 2-3 cards to a Japanese buyer.
Maybe the market for graded cards among Japanese collectors is starting to take off? Hard to say. I know they probably have a ton of fairly scarce cards over there that will attract interest from US buyers once graded, but after that 1st wave of vintage cards are slabbed I don't know what would come next. |

No idea what a 'not group' is, but I agree that if these TCG issues are ever going to appeal to a broader section of the collecting base they're going to have to figure out a way to produce more than 20-30 cards a year that sell for over $100 raw.
