Default ISA GRADING…lol!

The new hottest thing on the planet. Pumped by Gary V, Sports Card Investor, Oti, Luber and many others. What could go wrong?

Haven't they been around for a while? This grading thing is out of control with ultra-modern. Can't wait for the 25 cent bargain bins for graded cards in card shows. Dealers will have to lug around hundreds of pounds of worthless cards slabbed with 50 grading companies.

At first glance I don't disagree with any of the grades I've seen in their slabs, but honestly who cares about ISA. They could be as accurate as can be and I still wouldn't ever think twice about using them. Grading's oversaturated; I'll just stick with the established ones thank you very much.

I might be thinking of a different company, but I believe there was a guy from the CU boards who was (at least at one point) doing the grading for ISA, and that guy had a terrific grading eye-- one of the best.

With that caliber pumping, maybe this is the direction Fanatics goes in?

An LCS near us became a dealer of these ISA guys and a submission center. They made them an excellent deal as far as profit/margin and support goes.

I own 2 businesses... 1 in cards and my main business being in consumer electronic systems... and it blows my mind at the lack of profit or business support shared and offered by the grading companies. The business models these companies use when working with groups/dealers & LCSs is absolutely goofy.

ISA's business model and willingness to pay for air time is going to get them a lot of run from the talking heads who need to find income streams and things to talk about since PSA capped off the well for the last year. Now, will that translate to what really matters: COMPS? Hell no. It's just another kid tugging at Superman's cape.

Who cares?
Lots of people grade. Lots don’t.
People become weird loyalists to companies like grading and all.
If it’s hyped then so what. What isn’t ? A new company has to find a way to reach a audience …

They have been around for more than a decade. And the reason we’re laughing is who the company is run by. Might want to look him up here.

Looks like all his friends are the main source of these slabs as per usual. No surprise.

They should never be grading cards that cant fit in holders correctly. Just asking for damages. Imagine having that shipped to you, the edges are going to take a beating. And there is a lot of cards like this ...

Based on the ownership, it's not that surprising but ISA appears to be working with outed card trimmers (Andy Tuttle).

https://www.blowoutforums.com/showpo...&postcount=230

Maybe ISA thinks the referenced card doctor is their own Jason Koonce?

I'd love to see their evidence of where those rumors were supposedly debunked.

Those cases look like GMA and SGC had some unholy offspring.
