Ha. I was looking at the Messi trying to figure out what was going on. But, I think it works ok with the white bordered cards in the preview. Certainly different.

1992 Donruss does NOT need any type of tribute lol

In the future if they did tribute designs for the late 90s and early 2000s Donruss sets those would be nice

Not sure about the design based on the mockup but I think it will look much better on holos than paper donruss.

I don't think this will plummet, assuming MSRP is the pre-sale price.

I can't think of any other low-end box that hasn't dropped in price for a long time?

I can't imagine how this is going to be any different?

SRP is $150 - pretty sure presales were significantly over $200. This may well plummet from presale prices but tough to see it settling far below SRP.

Because they all sold on presale above MSRP. I can see this settling in the low 100s, seems to be enough autos plus Kabooms to put it there.

Yeah, I think so too. I think we are nearing the pre-COVID days where prices settle 20-30% below release prices. I still don't know why anyone would pay 40-50% above MSRP for this right now but to each their own.

Good deal. Seems like a decent price if you can get quick shipping to you. I'd try a few at that price. But it's frustrating that we'll nearly be at the end of the season before this releases - and April 12 may not even be the last delay.

To add some context, I bought a case of these in 2017 for around $200. A little under $20 a box. And even then it was close as to whether there was true value.

It is a garbage product, that costs almost no more to make today than it did in 2017, and somehow the price is 7-10x more.

Is it demand driving the price up? No.

Is it greed and collusion? Yes

All of the soccer products, despite coming down roughly 20-30% since launches (MLS Chrome, MLS Finest, Bundes Chrome, Bundes Finest), are still roughly 50% more expensive due to the 100% markups they get.

And don't get me started on the likes of PL Prizm...which was at most $40 with one auto, and is now $100+ with one auto at the cheapest.

That Revolution soccer product is garbage. It should be $30 a box.

So, have at it people...enjoy. You are probably getting 10% value.

Yeah it's absolutely crazy to me seeing people commenting things like "good deal!" after paying $150+ for what is an extremely low end, mass produced thin card-stock product.

Some of my best ever rips were with Donruss 18-19, it's one of my favourite soccer products ever, and the paper gold press proof Rated Rookies of Foden, Vini and Sancho are some of the most treasured (treasured, not most valuable) cards in my modern collection... but lets not pretend it's something it's not.

By definition it’s a good deal if you’re getting it for 75% of current pricing. Dean was talking about getting 1 box and $160 isn’t breaking the bank for most collectors. I’d use a bit if spending money for 2-3 boxes in that range too. It’d be nice to see 2018 pricing but we are obviously in a different world now.

If you don’t want it, don’t buy it. Extra crusty today, even vs your usual standard!! must’ve been the Fulham game

Yeah, $150 seemed reasonable for a release in 2023. Plus I had to use the coupon by the end of the month.

Yeah, I mean $160 for this is pennies tbh.. Like I said, I had a coupon to use by the end of February also, so that helped.

Anyways, he is just the board grump. Nobody takes him serious, its the same on every release with him, its junk, every card people post is garbage and they over paid.

Board was better when he was suspended tbh.

Actually, you'll find that most of the serious soccer collectors on this board think that most modern releases are vastly overpriced.

Donruss is a low-end product....should be $60-80 a box max....

By the way, I am not a serious collector.. I buy what I want. I don't ever plan to get rich on my collection. I do it for fun.
