Default Potentially fake Freddie Freeman Topps Chrome Update RC superfractor?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/12552675748...Bk9SR6SO_b_HYQ

This listing caught my eye earlier today.

Listing states it's a superfractor but looks like someone faked a superfractor and got FF to sign in-person

edit: looks like seller is claiming it's a "test proof?"

It's one of the backdoored unstamped ones which is why they couldn't get the actual card graded and had to go for trading card

Yeah I can’t stand those. They’re not worthless but the stamped pack pulled version is the only legit one to me

love this part of the description which completely contradicts itself

"Up for auction is one of Freddie Freeman's most sought after rookie cards, his 2011 Topps Chrome Update Superfractor Autograph!! This card itself is a test proof and the autograph was signed in person has been authenticated by PSA/DNA."

it is NOT his superfractor autograph (as stated in the first part), it is a backdoor in person replica (as pointed out in the second part)

I don't know how you treat that as anything other than a custom card with an authenticated auto.

BGS has authenticated and graded the non-auto Topps factory backdoored superfractors as real cards. I can’t find an image as an example at the moment but the ones that I’ve most commonly seen authenticated are from 2012 bowman chrome. BGS does notate on the label “Missing 1/1 stamp”.

Here is one of the threads where this was discussed around the time they started appearing on eBay

https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=523188

Apparently there was an image in that thread showing a BGS 9.5 of a JP Crawford non-auto superfractor with no 1/1 stamp, but the link is expired

Its just an IP auto, should be worth a solid $10.

This, or all auto’d cards are grossly overvalued.

So it isn't an actual card produced by Topps--it is a proof, in-house mock-up.

The auto is also different from every other 2011 Topps Chrome he signed -- didn't put his number. Only on this one.

Seems like a fraudulent listing.

This question gets asked every year at least twice.

Not pack pulled, not pack issued. Stay away.

As a vintage collector, this might look like terrible advice in 40 years. Lots of test issues that were never supposed to get out have tremendous collectability. Heck, even the 90s collectors know this to be true.

That said, not sure why you would get this autographed. If it is in fact a mock up that snuck its way out of Topps, I wouldn't want it auto'd.

I had a Justin Smoak that I got him to sign. It’s somewhere in a junk box, but when I bought it, the same seller had tons of others.
