Default Shaiwayvlogs caught shilling

First off, how to identify that Shaiwayvlogs eBay account is Rockmavi0(861 Feedback). Comparing one of his latest Reels to the Cards that are currently for auction and have recently Sold. We can see a few of them are the same card and cert #s

His Reel:

The Cards that recently sold on ebay:

Now that we have identified this as his eBay account. It's time to look at some of the cards Shai sold off through Quick Consignment 802. Once again we can tell which cards are his by comparing some of his Instagram Posts to the ones that ended on September 3rd. You can also match the Certs on these to tell that they are the exact same card.

We can start by checking one of his more recent Reels posted on August 23rd.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/CwRpD...RlODBiNWFlZA==

From this lot, he immediately listed the 2022/23 Gold Select Modric, the Red Wave Griezmann, and 1st Edition Salah Red for auction on his own eBay account. The majority of the other cards he immediately sent off to Quick Consignment 802 starting on Auction August 27th and ended on September 3rd. These consist of; the 2022 Modric Insert Gold, 2017 Select Modric Gold, (1) 2022 Prizm Gold Harry Kane, 2021/22 Chrome Sapphire Messi Red. On each one of these cards there is a bidder with 861 Feedback near the top if not the winner.

Using just that one reel I was able to find 4 cards that he sent to consignment and artificially increased the end price using his own eBay account. In the post below I will talk about a few other cards from this auction that were posted by him on Instagram and bid on by his eBay Account.

These were all of the cards that I could find a direct link from IG Post to eBay Auction. However using PSA’s Cert Lookup you can see that the majority of the Panini Gold’s and Topps Red’s from the Auction that ended on the 3rd were submitted by Shai and have a bid from Shai’s ebay Account rockmavi0

Never heard of whoever this is, but report this activity to ebay if you, maybe, want something done about it.

Wow there are so many examples, seems like some are for sale on his main eBay now that he won back from what he consigned?

I was bidding on a few of those :/

I'm not surprised. Shill bidding is insane in this hobby. I can't tell you how many times I watch auction run and get crazy money then when I post my listing and run an auction is gets half of the value or ends to a NPB. And this was happening even when I had top rated seller status.

Such a small amount of money too. Doesn’t seem worth it to someone who is as wealthy as he likes to demonstrate.

Fella likely has 4-5 credit cards and six figures of debt he's put into busting and buying wax to keep on top of.

I wish I were joking.

It's a sad state of affairs, but we live in the age of 'fake it' rather than 'make it'.

How else is he supposed to help collectors Fund Their Grails if he's not maximizing his return on his sales!?

Probably another case of someone who was crushing it during COVID and doesn't really have a fall back plan and now that the card market has tanked and profits have been erased from "collectors" they are left holding many bags of cards and debt.

I should think this is many people in the hobby. Scummy thing to do but no surprise when someone is constantly posting pictures of their travel buddy cards at the beach which is very odd to me.

It sort of makes you wonder, if he was shilling $100 cards...what else was he up to on other platforms that are less transparent with bid history information?

100%. His “fund your card” business lists tons of cards on PWCC as well as other eBay consignors. You know he’s shilling those as well.

So what happens if these shillers win their own cards, because it must happen often? Do they just not pay and create a new scum account?

There's also people that shill OTHER PEOPLES cards.. Tre Young autos are notorious for it

It looks like, based on bidding history, he potentially won some, paid for them (or they were returned by the consignor unpaid) and then they were listed on his account for auction before being cancelled.

Great detective work. Out of sheer curiosity, what led you to go down the rabbit hole and look closer at this?

I would just like to ask, is shaiwayvlogs a member here? I do not recall ever seeing his username on any posts on Blowout, or does he have a different username? Is he a known soccer card collector or dealer? Apologies for the questions, but I would just like to know more about this person/company.

Regards

It was a combination of things that started with a Prizm Pulisic Gold /10. It was auctioned on his eBay account, then sent to Consignment and won by him, then finally it was just recently being auctioned on his account again before being taken down. The other part being that I saw his reel with the 5 Reds vs 5 Gold's and noticed the same cards and PSA Cert #s both on his eBay and on Consignment.
