Default Which great players came up to the Bigs with a strange number?

I'm watching the Reds/Pirates game right now and they just talked about how Jonny Bench wore the number 53 in 1966, but then switched to number 5 in 1967 for the rest of his career. I think Pujols just wore number 68 in Spring Training of 2001, but I will never forget it on his 2001 Donruss card (Picture: 2001 Donruss Stat Line Season Albert Pujols RR AU AUTO | eBay). In the movie 61* Mickey Mantle says that the Yankees first gave him #6 since he was considered the next DiMaggio so they gave him one number higher, but after he was sent down and then brought back up he was given number 7.

Any other great all-time players that wore a number we're not familiar with?

Hank Aaron wore #5 in his first season with the Braves.

Well right now Kyle Drabek is wearing #4 for the Blue Jays which is weird because pitchers rarely have single-digit numbers these days. I don't know whether or not that will change though as his career progresses.

It seems that they always wear an usual number once they get called up. They'll usually settle into a number once they make an opening day roster or really get set into the lineup. I remember Felix Hernandez wearing #57 when he first came up.
