Default Anyone have any success stories after a FedEx package has been delayed?

Not talking weather-related events. I have a PSA return that was last scanned at a nearby hub on 7/15. It went from the local distribution center back to the hub, unfortunately.

Has anyone run into anything similar? How did it turn out?

Often with fed ex usually resolves in a couple of days

Hmmm... that gives me a bit of hope. It's been almost a month since the last scan. I have a case open with the claims team at PSA, but I don't want a claim; I want the cards. Hopefully they push FedEx to find it.

Did you contact your local FedEx hub directly?

The few times I have had FedEx packages get hung up at the local hub, FedEx quickly resolved it / found the package when I called the local hub directly.

Being that it has been a month since the last scan does not sound promising though. Any undelivered packages left on the delivery truck are supposed to be re-scanned / rescheduled for delivery the next business day. The only reasons for a package to not be re-scanned would be loss, theft. or damage.

If I were in your shoes, I'd call the local hub ASAP and give them the tracking # and see what they say.

My hub moved physical locations back in June from one town to another when FedEx combined ground and express into the same facility. There is no phone number. I actually drove out there this morning, but the office is so new that it isn't staffed yet. I could see desks and a customer area, but it was not ready for use.

My personal experience is it is very difficult if not impossible to contact Fed Ex at the local level about shipping matters like this. There is the 1-800 number, which won’t do anything about shipping questions like this, but nothing local, at least for me. Apparently they don’t want people calling in and asking about shipping so there’s no one really to contact. The only time I was able to get a human rep was in regards to a random package that was wrongly delivered to my doorstep- then a customer service rep on the 1800 number actually helped with that.

I like USPS over Fed Ex in some ways because there is an easier way to communicate with them, be it going into the post office, and some local post offices have numbers that can be called etc.

Anyway…sorry OP, that is a long time for sure. Hope it’ll somehow turn up

Thanks all. I'll post any updates here. I would so much rather have the cards than any insurance payout. It's getting difficult to replace 1998 E/X Essential Credentials.

I am bummed. FedEx claims they can't find the package. The rep from PSA is nice enough and explained the process to me. I have to submit a notarized insurance claim form which PSA and their insurance company will examine. Then they'll pay me.

I was curious what happens if FedEx happens to find the package. If its found and delivered to PSA, they'll contact me and request that I return the money so that I can get my cards. I am really holding out hope that this eventually happens.

Here are the missing (now deactivated) cards.

The Credentials are a huge loss to me. I pulled the Thome myself, and I've been hanging onto the Pettitte for a long time, and planned to keep both.

Any update on this? Was hoping the package would miraculously show up OP, that’s tough seeing those cards. I’d like to think it can still happen.

Did you at least manage to get reimbursed yet?

I filled out PSA's Statement of Loss and had it notarized. I sent it to the guy handling my case on Monday. Nothing yet. I think it will take a bit of time for PSA's private insurer to validate the claim.

I have no evidence of this, but I suspect there is a FedEx trailer somewhere that hasn't been unloaded. I scoured the Fedexers subreddit and found some stories about that for SmartPost packages (not that mine was).

When the office at my local distribution center is finally staffed, I'll drive out again and talk to them.

Guy had the balls to ask if I wanted the claim money as a PSA credit. I declined.

Well, I have an unexpected update. I had received the check for the declared value a few weeks ago via FedEx . Today I got a phone call from a number I didn’t recognize, and it was PSA. Apparently, FedEx found my package and returned it to PSA. The same person I worked with on the claim called me to let me know that they can charge my card on file and send my cards overnight.

I obviously agreed to that, as I wanted my cards much more than the money. They should arrive Thursday, I’d imagine. I’ll post here when they do.

They are in-hand. PSA also added a $100 voucher, which was nice.
