Default Jets cutting Rodgers

Jets cutting Rodgers?
Lots of reports Jets are moving on and that they have told him that face to face

Thoughts?

They should trade Sauce, Wilson and a first round pick for McKee.

The Jets being the Jets, I would have thought they were going to extended him for three more years.

They should trade their owner.

I heard the Vikings may be looking for a vet to tutor JJ.

He's a top 5 QB of all-time and guaranteed first ballot.

I didn't think Rodgers really wanted to play this year. Just didn't want to retire on injury. I think Rodgers retires.

I hope he doesn't go to teams with his cap in hand and beg for a starting job. He should read the writing on the wall and he isn't an elite qb anymore and retire.

That'd be the best move.
He is HOF yet nowhere near any Brady records.

The places he could go (NYG, Cle, Ten, LV, Ind) couldn't protect him any better than NYJ.

Cousins, on the other hand, will probably go to one of those teams - or take a backup job.

Released a little too late unfortunately. Would have been a big pick up for the Chiefs. They could have really used a quality QB tonight who didn't completely bury them in the first half.

I think I might of had a higher QBR sitting on my couch than their starter did in the first half.

In all seriousness I think he goes to the Raiders and the Jets trade Adams back to them to join Rodgers, as well as Lazard and Cobb.

If that happens it would be hilarious since I was calling that outcome back in like 2012 ala Favre. I don't think it ever would though. He hates the Vikes.

I think Rodgers could consider to play another year or two say if Pittsburgh were to want him or if SF decided not to pay Purdy and trade him and draft a young QB and sign Rodgers to be the bridge QB. I don't think Rodgers would consider MN he does not want to go to a team were he would have to compete with the young QB for the starting job or were he could be benched at some point in the season for that QB. Also can't see him go to a crappy team just so he could play he would retire I think before that happens.

if he continues, he will need to be inserted into a good team. Steelers or Vikings seem to fit that mold.

Rodgers was miserable this season, and it showed in his performance. Now, IMHO, the question is: Was he miserable because he's sick of football or was he miserable because playing for the Jets simply beat him down...?

I believe in the right situation Aaron Rodgers could still play at a very high level. He'd be a monster in Minnesota, which would be a hilarious repeat of what Favre did 15 years ago. I think he needs to do some soul searching to decide if staying in the NFL is what he wants though.

could be both...he's way out of his prime and coming back from a serious injury. Playing for the Jets organization won't help any

If I am a team that wants to win, I am NOT signing Rodgers, not as a starter at least. If this season is a write off and you are just mailing it in until 2026, then that's the team that should bring Rodgers in as a starter

He does this at the end of every season in a dramatic fashion for at least 4 years now.

He will play.

Ego. Will want to go out a winner.
Close to passing Favre's TD record.
Still has gas and $$ to be made.

I just wonder who wants him. Vikings seem perfect. But I feel like it won't happen there.
