Default Coming Soon:2025 Leaf Photographic

I saw this posted on X and I wanted to make a thread about it because I gotta say this looks like a really fun and innovative set from Leaf and I’m very excited to see what this is all about. From what I understand, they won a huge signed Polaroid auction for like 200 Grand.

I didn’t know this was legal but smart move on Leaf’s part. Not sure why more people don’t create card sets when you have things like Jersey Fusion still in business and can get a lot like this and probably make multiple sets out of it. Everyone also always disses Leaf yet you always hear them winning these odd auctions or even paying guys charities etc to gain autos. They can’t be doing that bad lol

I bid on that too, for fun.
I once lost a WWII German auction item to Lemmy from Motorhead!

They got 7,500 autos for 185k if they charge 100 dollars a box which seems extremely fair given the checklist they’d 4X on money.

I do think so, although I can see it going for 300 like Leaf Metal does etc. Not sure how popular this will be but I do like the concept.

Why wouldn't it be legal?

That’s what Im saying, as I said if there’s no legality issues around sets like this not sure why someone with deep pockets and access to print cards doesn’t do things like this. People hate but Leaf is one of the smarter companies I’ve seen,
not only do they usually get a good amount of athletes who amount to something first cards/autos, they get big-name autos across competing companies in one set, go big on entertainment sets which the big companies seem to have forgot you can release and products like this.

There's nothing illegal about it. It's no different than all those cut autograph cards that have been created over the years. In this case, the "cut" is just a full polaroid photo. Cut auto cards have been done for years, so I'd say companies have been doing this. If you're asking why not signed polaroids specifically, I'd say because there aren't a lot of collections like this floating around. Leaf and other trading card companies do buy autograph collections all the time for cut cards though, especially signed index card collections, but they'll chop up signed 8x10 photos and books as well.

Leaf bought a ton of Taylor Swift signed CDs to turn into auto cards.

I hope it's only $100 but I doubt it. We will see

Some great musicians here, for sure, and that Bill Hicks is pretty cool, too.
The David Lynch/Isabella Rossellini double-signed would sell for a pretty penny.

Lots of choice autographs here, all on true 1/1 photos, but we should remember that a lot of these, I'd say the majority, will be feature people the general public are basically unfamiliar with, so there's no way every single one merits the pack-out treatment. Taking a look at the pictures to the end, I love that the she stored a bunch of them in a couple of avocado crates.

Interesting product concept. I’m eager to see how Leaf frames these into a card. If done properly I may go against my norm and buy something from Leaf.

I'm pretty sure it'll be done as in the examples shown in the OP.

$275 per box with one 1/1 signed framed Polaroid per box. This product looks amazing, but that is expensive and thats direct btw so retail will be closer to $350 I would imagine.

I put in for 2 cases. It truly looks like a one of a kind product.

yeah you have to think of the 7500, how many of the autographs truly would be of really good value? Looking at the list I see plenty that I've gotten their autographs TTM or even some just by sending an email. I couldn't imagine how bummed I'd be if I spent couple hundred dollars and got an autograph I could still get for a couple stamps. Its real unique and sure plenty will be happy but lots will be throwing their hands up or Googling who the person autographed is famous for
