Default how would you compare the past 2 years of panini product to topps

lets say topps product from 06-07 and 07-08..

i really hated pannini at first, but actually like someof the stuff i have seen recently..

i collect basketball patch cards..

Can't compare it. Sure this recent release of Panini looks really good, but not good enough for me to even compare the two...

Bring back Topps Letterman!!! When Panini comes out with Panini Letterman and does a better job than Topps did, then we'll talk lol

My preferences between the two by category:

card design - Topps - This really depends on preference and which set/subset you are looking at but there aren't many topps cards I think look awful, Panini has some good ones and some really bad ones.

Photography - Topps - not even close there

Value - Topps - Can't beat chrome RC's, letterman, etc..

Inserts - Panini - Lots of inserts (even if they don't carry value)

Variety of Auto's - Panini - Exclusive contracts give panini all the big names (-MJ & LBJ) and much more variety due to countless numbers of products and subsets

Quality of auto cards - Panini - mainly because of NT, Absolute, & TT. Topps uses all stickers at least Panini has some on card autos plus the majority of exclusives

I think Panini is heading in the right direction. They definitely had some growing pains but I hope for the best.

I can't stand Panini. I stopped buying their products months ago and won't touch any more of it. Topps easily beats it.
