Default Topps McDonalds rookie auto warning

Remember the 2006 Football Rookie Premiere auto rcs issues? Fake Leinarts, Bush, Lendale and V. Young cards? I may be wrong but w/ no type of holograph sticker on the backs of these McD cards I have a funny feeling there are going to be a ton of fakes out there. Below are 2 links, the first a card I purchased awhile back. The 2nd a new auction (similar card) but vastly different autograph.

O.J OJ MAYO 2008/09 Topps MCDONALDS All-America RC AUTO - eBay (item 160323175977 end time Mar-26-09 18:14:00 PDT)

07-08 TOPPS MCDONALDS ALL AMERICAN OJ MAYO RC AUTO RARE - eBay (item 120415476332 end time May-10-09 15:05:44 PDT)

After looking at them again a few times, the one on the bottom does not have the CERTIFIED AUTO lettering in the autograph section? Great job Topps...

The bottom one is fake. Someone took the wrong type of sharpie (or whatever) and really badly forged a signature on a non-auto card. There were several of these without the certified auto signature released that look like there is supposed to be an auto, but there isn't.

People bidding on these should really watch out. If it doesn't say its a certified auto.. then its not real!

This item is not claimed to be from a pack of regular Topps Basketball...

That one came from the McDonald's All-Star Game in Louisville KY.

You had to be at the game to get a 4 card pack (2 women & 2 men in each pack).

I went that year! A great one with Beasley, Rose, Mayo, Griffin, Gordon, Hickson, Calathes, Patterson, Love, etc...

Those cards were rumored to be randomly inserted with autographs, but I managed to get an entire shoe of packs because I had one of the boys that I coached in middle school basketball with me. There were no autographs in the shoe.

To be honest the bottom card is very rare and doesn't say certified autograph on it. I think it has been obtained by someone in person. The players hung around for a long time after the game to sign autographs.

Hope this helps.

Yeah, the bottom one looks like an in person signature to me, although its definitely being portrayed as the certified autograph by the seller. Even if the autograph is real, it would not have the same value as the Topps certified auto so it would be nice if ebay would shut this down and at the very least make the guy relist it as a in-person obtained signature.
