Default 06 Flair Box...pulled Trent Green Lettermen 1/5!

Not bad for only one 40 dollar box hunh!

Can someone please verify my thought process on this ('bay research agrees with my theory).....its # 1/5 because its the "G"

2ndly....do I just put a 99.99 BIN, or risk it and let it run at .99? Profit from this box is going towards the I cracked to much on Black Friday wife's gonna kill me fund.

Well, for most anyone other than Green, I might say let it run @ $.99, buuuuuut since it is him, I'm not sure you would get it to the $99ish range. Hopefully you will find a couple people that will want it and bid it up. If you're not wanting to sell it for much less than the BIN, then I'd say put up a BIN or best offer. Very nice card

I've always been a little confused on the numbering of the letterman cards myself as sometimes they go with just 1 of each letter.....which would make that a 1/1 :P as it would be the only "G", and sometimes they put out like 15 of each.....weird.

I haven't started the wife is going to kill me fund......yet

FISH,

I believe that the letterman go by last name. I pulled a Corey Dillon Letterman last year(PATRIOTS). I pulled the "O" in DILLON and it was #'ed 5/6. I sold it for $100 with a $.99 starting bid auction style. He also played for the Patriots so it may not help that Green is out!

But then again that Green(3 Clr) is a nicer patch the Dillon(2Clr) was and its allso #'ed 1/5

Plus its Cheifs and not Dolphins. I'm going to start it at 99 and if it sells great, if not, then I'll rethink and try again. Rather loose a buck trying, than to loose my butt...plus its a cool card, so to keep it wouldnt really hurt me, he's got enough passing yardage he might see Canton one day.

Thanks guys!

never know what kinda collectors Trent Green has too...could go for more than you think, especially saying their is 4 letters left and someone wanting to have the full nameplate of him nice pull!

FISH,

Depending on how much the card is going for, I may try and win it! We shall see.

FISH,

I just looked at the Green Auction. I thought you were going to start it at 99 cents. You will not be seeing bid on that know......lol. Good for you though!! Looks like you'll make OK on that card!

Wrong 99 I guess....but for me. Most likely its someone with one of the other ones. But 'bays been to soft lately to try the .99 and let it ride...I've played enough poker (funny thing is I loose $$ there too )

I thought my box of Showcase was a fun break. Granted the Letterman is huge (I presume these aren't 1 a case...probably more like a 1:10 case hit). But you get 2 Jersey Cards, 1 Auto. My box had 3 or 4 rookies (teired from 999 to 99), but pretty much every pack had an insert. I like the hot hands/numbers inserts, they're bright. The Wave of the Future cards look great to. Very happy with it overall. If xmas is really good to be (and or my 2 cases of ITG HP coming in 2 weeks) I might try a case and see how i can do in it. I want to check the checklist though and see if the Big3 have auto's in it or not. Still waiting for my 1st Bush or Leinhart Auto.

FISH,

I was thinking about getting a cheap case like the Flair Showcase. Something cheap and if I'm lucky will hold me over until after Christmas.

Would last me about an hour of cracking, then about 2-4 hours of sorting, and 3 days of listing on ebay Think it could be fun. Price is right thats for sure, depending on the rookie auto list and/or demand for any of the rookies, could be a decent break. Might be very hard to do base sets though, as there's only about 75 or so per box (not sure how large the base set is, but theres a large list of short print subsets).
