Default HUGE Comic book lot ?????

Ok first off i can tell you i dont know squat about comic books i am working a deal for someone entire inventory I am interested in the sports cards and coins but he wont break up the lot for just what i want so he is my question less assume the comics are well lets say commons what are the boxes worth as a lot this is just a guess

He has 15 short boxes that hold 150 comics each
He has long boxes that hold 300 BOOKS IN EACH
6,750 COMICS

what are they realy worth if they are common books

It depends on what the comics are in those boxes.. If they are 1960-1977ish they could be worth quite a bit. If they are 1980-now (barring a few exceptions) they are not worth that much. Depends on you knowing what exactly is in the boxes to be able to tell you what they are worth. Best case scenario without knowing what books they are, is you could ASSUME they are all 1980's-now and that they are worth $1.00 each.

Most common boxes at comic shows go for .25 each. Ask about the history of the comics. Was he merely a collector, or did he also do shows? How did he obtain the comics. Sounds like he just wants to get rid of them in a package deal so I'm thinking they're probably not worth much alone as I'd think he'd want to sell them separately if that were the case.

Some comic shops buy commons by the pound paying x amount per lb. They take a long time to get rid of, so they try and buy it as cheap as possible.

Price them at 15 per short and 30 per long, period.
Unless he pulls out clean comics and throws ebay in your face,go low.

People need cash and there is no point in paying a premium. I hit an estate sale today and picked up 193 Golden/Silver age "funnies" comics for 1.00/ea
He had them priced at 3.00-8.00/ea but cash in hand and a bulk sale promotes the "Well, I wont have to deal with it" and stick to your guns.

People wanting to unload across platforms are dumping, period.
Your estimate of numbers is off.
300 comics is what jammed to the gills long boxes will hold with no bags, boards or giant-sized issues. most boxes I pick up for 30.00 have 220-250 books. Shorts 110-130
So knock 30% off of your total put ti closer to 4800 to be safe then factor .10/ea and toss out another 500.00 on your offer, then let him talk you up from there.
Now, if you have .10,.12 and .15 books and they are not ragged out, factor 1.00/ea
Spidermans,Fantastic Four,Xmen, mainstream titles that are 35 cents or less you CAN factor up to 1.00/ea on those as well but they need to have good spines,no tears and no missing pieces when buying in bulk and offering that much
I Collect Marbles,Amazing Spider-man comics and tears! Mr. Sensitivity at your service
