Anyone have a good rule of thumb for the number of chrome cards that will fit into 200, 300, 400, 500 etc. cardboard storage boxes. Chrome cards are much thicker and I can never figure out what size boxes to order for chrome sets.

I know for BC football last year, the entire 275 card set fit almost perfectly into a 400-count box, so you can use that ratio.

This years topps chrome set (330 cards) fit nicely in a 500ct box. so i figure a multiplier of around 1.5, so 200 cards would take about a 300 count, and 400 cards would take around a 600 ct bow.

I have tons of boxes (both made and unmade). If you're interested in any, let me know. I bought a lot to get the cheaper rate, and now I have plenty of every size from 100 to 800.

You would think someone would re-do the numbering of these boxes. Even the 385 card Score Football set had to have a 500 card box to hold it all. These are about as thin as today's cards get.
