Default How Should I Respond?

Hey all!

About a week or two ago, a member and I made a trade.

I was to send a 2010 TTT Ray Rice booklet laundry tag 1/1 (for his PC, so he says).

He was to send a 2012 R&S RG3 jersey/auto /499.

Since this user had ZERO feedback, I didn't ship my end of the deal and was going to wait until I had received my end. A day after we made our deal, the member sent me a PM and asked if he could sell the RG3 to someone else instead since he apparently received a $180 offer.

Since we had already come to a deal and I had already paid for postage, I told him that thats not okay since both of us agreed to a deal.

About a week passes, and after trying to contact him two or three times, I still haven't heard a response back from him. I haven't received a DC number, I haven't had any contact from him, and I surely haven't received the RG3 in the mail yet.

I'd assume he backed out, however he hasn't been online since 12/31/2012, which is right around the time when we made our deal.

How should I respond to this?

Unfortunately, another member and I had made a deal that we were going to carry out once the RG3 came in, and now it doesn't seem like it will.

What would you do?

Don't ask me how much I want to offer. Come with a price in mind. If I don't want it or think it's worth that, I will let you know.

Thanks. I would, but I fear of a retaliation feedback. I already have one of those, and I really can't afford another

Geez, is there something in the water lately. Is it my imagination or does it get stranger and stranger on here every day?

You're right. Well, on the bright side, at least I wasn't scammed or anything.

But you're totally right. Ever since December, there's been a rise of Haikuism in society

OP: I would also leave a neg espically if you had already paid for postage. It is a good thing you didn't agree to send at the same time!

You are doing a disservice to the other forum members if you do not leave him a negative. Contact the Mods and demand the retaliatory feedback be removed and it will. I have had 2 removed in the past year. WE NEED HONEST FEEDBACK ON THIS SITE!!!

It very well may not be removed.......

Hence lack of negs left. Which leads to a ton of the BS that goes on here.

Retalitory neg needs to equal instant ban.

Thanks man! Looks like that's what I'll do. Just hoping I'm not jumping the gun, as he hasn't been on so perhaps he has a legitimate personal problem.

Yeah, I understand your concern. If you find out otherwise, you could always update this thread with the positive outcome and ask the mods to remove the negative feedback.

Timewise, technically yes.

However, I had sent him a PM telling him that if he didn't respond to me (since he hadn't replied in several days) that appropriate feedback would be left.

Without even PMing me back, he gave me a negative.

So, in other words, he only gave me a negative after I told him I would...

Drop the neg if you haven't already.

Additionally, don't deal with members under 20 or so feedback, unless it's a completely well established member.

Huge Difference between it BEING ban-able and people actually being banned for it.

Hard enough to get one removed, much less someone getting banned for it.
