Updating a previous item, the Charlotte Observer reports that Bengals WR Chris Henry suffered "life-threatening" injuries when he fell out of the back of a pickup truck in Charlotte (NC) Wednesday.

FOXSports' Alex Marvez reports that Henry is on life support. Bengals beat writer Joe Reedy says Henry is "believed" to have suffered head injuries before being found roadside by police. Henry "came out" of the truck during a domestic dispute with his fiancee, a Charlotte native. As Henry's fiancee was allegedly driving away in the pickup, he is said to have jumped into the bed and ultimately fell or was forced out. Henry had been in Charlotte to finalize wedding plans. Police say Henry is still alive, but the situation is dire. Dec. 16 - 6:40 pm et

I cannot believe what I'm hearing. My brother is saying the same thing. "Oh he deserves it". No one deserves death, and we have no proof of anything tonight. Come on...Is he an ideal citizen? Maybe not, but we're too freaking judgmental.

Really??

They've got homicide detectives on the scene to investigate what happened. Think he deserved to die if he's past the point of no return?? Wow

Also it says that he was in town to finalize wedding plans, so I doubt it was a case of him totally freaking out on some girl (his fiance).

sounds like she freaked out on him if anything. He obviously wasn't driving and from what has been originally reported they don't plan on charging her at this time, are you kidding!! You throw someone from a truck and leave them to die, thats messed up. He has done a lot to try and turn his life around he hasn't killed anyone he just made some poor decisions and was supposedly doing great in his turn around. And she was a huge part of it, but dang what did she do to him to put him in that type of condition. Hopefully all turns out well but no one deserves to outright die just because they are a "douche". Murder's, rapist, pedophiles might join you in the mob but nah not here, not even close.

Where did I say he should die? Just meant that he makes stupid decisions way too many times. Finally he's done something that he (hopefully) will learn from.

When a guy is on life-support I wouldn't be calling them a douche. Sorry if I misinterpreted your comments.

This is bad, and it's in Charlotte, where I live. Thing is, I didn't hear about this until I saw a story on it on NFL Network. Best wishes towards him and I hope he has a speedy recovery.

If you seriously think that he deserves to die, then I really hope I don't see you in real life, because that is just absolutely the most heartless thing to say.

I remember a certain radio guy on ESPN Radio who all but said that Steve McNair deserved what he got back in July. Again, similar situation. There were problems in his (Henry's) life, but it didn't have to be this way. Unfortunately, as the article I posted mentioned, it looked like things for Chris were getting back on track, and, despite injuries on the football field, he was headed back to a normal life.

I was appalled at a similar comment made regarding Nick Adenhart the day after he died. But I know you're sick so...I guess I won't take it to heart.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say Cincinnati Bengals receiver Chris Henry has died, one day after suffering serious injuries upon falling out of the back of a pickup truck in what authorities describe as a domestic dispute with his fiancee.

Police say Henry died at 6:36 a.m. Thursday. Henry was 26.

Away from the team because of a broken forearm, Henry was rushed to the hospital Wednesday after being found on a residential road. Police say a dispute began at a home about a half-mile away, and Henry jumped into the bed of the pickup truck as his fiancee was driving away from the residence.

Police said at some point when she was driving, Henry "came out of the back of the vehicle.
