71 pitches 5 IP 6 K. He sucked last year, what's with the change?

He wasn't that bad last year. He sucked when he was with the Yankees. And he wasn't that good with the bluejays. He just had great stats against the redsox so the Yankees signed him.

and those were a bit inflated too with that one horrible outing last year where he gave up 12 runs in 2 and 2/3. 20 of his 31 starts last year he allowed 2 runs or less, was actually pretty stellar

burnett was great last year, should have been an all star. he has been awesome this year too, pirates didnt score in his first two starts, he was great tonight too.

also, one of the best guys the pirates have ever had in the clubhouse.

Not sure about an all star, he was dominant in the second half, not the first. He had a rough first month and then really turned it around.

He had a 3.68 ERA in the first half last season.

31.5% of the runs he allowed in the first half came in one outing.

Take that start out and he had a 2.58 ERA in the first half.




Oh, and he had a 1.38 ERA in two "first month" starts.
