Topps Announces Two Exciting New Product Additions Across Five Basketball Releases

We are pleased to announce two unsolicited programs that will now be included in our upcoming basketball releases.

Please read below to learn more about the 2008 NBA All-Star Booklet Card and 1980-81 Topps Basketball Larry Bird / Magic Johnson Rookie Buyback Autographed Card programs. These unique cards will be randomly inserted in Topps Triple Threads, Bowman Elevation, Bowman Sterling, Topps Luxury Box, Topps Letterman and Topps Finest Basketball.

As the 2007-08 NBA season enters the stretch drive towards the playoffs, Topps is proud to announce a pair of exciting new additions to its upcoming NBA Basketball products. Throughout its early 2008 releases, Topps will present two series of rare inserts commemorating some of the NBA’s most memorable players of yesteryear, as well as those who are sure to be remembered in the future. These new cards, never before available for purchase by collectors, offer fans a unique opportunity to own a piece of trading card history. 2008 NBA All-Star Booklet Cards For the first time ever, Topps will be presenting 2008 NBA All-Star Booklet cards, which will debut in packs of 2007-08 Topps Triple Threads Basketball. Five players will be featured in booklet-style cards, commemorating the 2008 NBA All-Star Game in New Orleans. Perennial NBA All-Stars Dwyane Wade, Gilbert Arenas and Carmelo Anthony, up-and-coming New Orleans Hornets superstar Chris Paul and rookie sensation Yi Jianlian will each appear on these sequentially-numbered cards. Each booklet will contain one mini card, presented in the style of a panel from the memorable 1980-81 Topps Basketball design, which are also sequentially-numbered to the same number as the booklets. 100 cards of each player will be randomly-inserted into packs of Topps Triple Threads, while 100 more can each be found in Bowman Elevation, Bowman Sterling and Topps Luxury Box. As an additional bonus, 50 autographed cards of each player will be inserted into both Topps Letterman and Topps Finest! 1980-81 Larry Bird/Magic Johnson Autographed RC Buybacks 2007-08 Bowman Elevation Basketball now includes one additional surprise: Topps has bought back a limited quantity of the most famous card from the 1980-81 Topps Basketball set: the Larry Bird/Magic Johnson Rookie Card #6. These graded cards are autographed by both Bird and Magic, and your first chance to receive one will be through ten Instant Win cards, randomly-inserted into packs of 2007-08 Bowman Elevation Basketball. Bowman Sterling, Topps Luxury Box, Topps Letterman and Topps Finest will each feature 10 of these historic autographed cards as well.
