Default National Treasures $609 a box Pre-sell

OUCH! This is what I feared. With so many previous speculative threads on pricing, how does everyone feel about $609 a box?

Did Panini sign Jordan or Lebron and isn't saying anything? LOL

There are still 6 weeks for the price to fluctuate. I don't think it's a good buy at the $600 price. Even if it was 20 cards w/ half of them guaranteed autos.

I posted this in the other thread, but which would you rather have, NBA Licensed Exquisite for 500 or National Treasures for 610?

we can complain and cry about Panini and compare to UD etc etc at the end of the day nothing we can do about it but roll wit the punches and try and continue to enjoy this hobby...not sure y everyone so surprised about NT price and stickers being in the product...previous NT release def had stickers in it...although was 4 box cases with 8 cards per box this is 3 box cases with 10 cards per so not too far off prob cut out some base at least that's wat im hoping...although I do agree 600 per might be a lil high but wen kyries and other good rookies are live and selling for the big bucks im sure boxes will be 7-800...I got lucky and secured a cple from that other site for 1590 a case

Too much for my blood. You can get one really sick card for $600.

I remember everyone paying $500+ last year for Exquisite (non-licensed) for a 1/3 chance for a Lebron or Jordan. So I expect everyone to pay at least that much for licensed rookie cards and the first NT since 2011. Hell, people paid this much for Fleer Retro, so $600 seems like the new inflated price for basketball high end cards. We do it to ourselves unfortunately by paying these prices in the past.

this is what happened when decent player with patch (silo prime) sold for $100-$200. Panini will justified the $609 price tags in NT with one RPA per box, they think decent RPA will fetch $100-$200 too in secondary market.

Panini has nothing to do with the $609 pre-sell price.
I'm pretty sure the price on this stuff is $400 or a little lower a box from Panini. Same way it was with this years FB... So don't blame Panini for the people who are jacking the price up....

Exactly, UD and Panini sold Exquisite, Retro and NT to distributors at reasonable price and then....

I find it amusing that Panini is getting bashed for this, while the giant flop that was the last Exquisite release was floating around $900 per box lol

Again, UD has nothing to do with the price. Direct price on exquisite was less then $500 s box. Blame the right people who are responsible

Well it's the same with panini. Ud release so much crappy products throughout the year and dealers and stores had to use exquisite to get for money back by upping the price. So sme as national treasures for panini

So do you think that makes it right. Just because its a product that is going to be sought, go ahead & charge what you want

Anybody who preordered for $1590 a case is going to be making some very easy money.
