Default A-Rods First AB since his injury in Single A, he hits into double play! Same old arod

A-Rods first at bat since his injury. He is playing in Single A with the Charleston Riverdogs and hits into a double play! SAME OLD AROD I guess LOL! Regardless Its great to see him back on the field on his road to recovery as he makes his way back to the majors! Go YANKEES!

Check out this video of the play below and let me know your thoughts on this!

He doesn't care. He gets paid the same no matter how many double plays he hits into.

He wants to play one game so he can retire and still get paid, he doesn't give a damn how well he does.

If MLB wasn't complete hypocrites and asshats that could be possible, but since they are, he is banned from MLB, which is absolutely uncalled for.

PS, I sensed your sarcasm, but really didn't care

I like how you came to that conclusion after one at-bat.

it was a joke but do you honestly think arod can help turn the season around by himself? of course not. we need our other guys to come back from injuries and we need guys to step up.

I never said I think A-Rod's going to singlehandedly turn the season around, but I do think he can help. He'll probably be an improvement over Youkilis, Adams, Gonzalez, Nix and whoever else they've had play third base.

As for the "answer" to this season, I can imagine a lot of fanboys and writers saying that the answer will be/is Jesus Christ. Er, I mean Derek Jeter.

i would agree. A-Rod is definitely an upgrade at 3B. i think that a combination of getting arod, jeter, and granderson back will help definitely.

Yankees gave up a DH with (steroid-aided) mediocre power and a AAAA pitcher for him. They crushed that trade.

I'd like to agree, but because we've yet to see Pineda and/or Campos actually pitch for the big league club, both teams have lost this trade (for now).
Although the Yankees could potentially be the winner in a few months.

when you look at the trade now, it turned out great for the Yankees but at the time of the trade it was much different. When the trade was made, Jesus Montero was the top prospect in the yankees organization and was thought to be the future of the franchise. he also wasent a DH. It seemed he was going to be the starting catcher for many years to come.

Now Montero is with the Mariners and hes linked to that sketchy biogenesis clinic run by Anthony Bosch in his little apartment in Miami Florida.

Unhappy

A-Rod also struck out against a Class A pitcher. I can't wait to see how crappy he looks against real pitchers! Oh, just look at his highlights from the last few years!

A-Rod looks like he hasn't done very much in the way of cardio during his injury and rehab, aside from walking to get food.

Does anyone else not understand all this Arod hate? If it's driven by steroids and arrogance, why do guys like Manny and Sheffield get such a relative pass?

I think two awful players for a guy who never plays is a wash, as a guy with my personal bias in these discussions. Montero was overhyped like every New York prospect.
