Default Shows that aren't available on DVD

I was given season one of "The Drew Carey Show" on DVD as a gift, and really enjoyed it. When I went to purchase more seasons online, I found out none are on DVD. Anyone know a way to get shows which finished and are not available on DVD?

Funny you started this thread...

I am a huge fan of this show, and found a way you can get it, but it might take a while and isn't exactly on the up and up.

They only released season 1 on DVD and probably won't do anymore due to the costs of the music license. It is a great show.

I am not sure if there are any legal ways to see all the seasons.

I have the same question (for a different show but that's sorta irrelevant). I've seen these types of packages for a lot of shows that don't have actual DVDs in stores. The fact that they're unlicensed scares me.

The Wonder Years is on Netflix. I think they must have just recently re-added it, because I never noticed it until a few days ago.

I use iOffer: A Place to Buy, Sell & Trade for shows that were never released on DVD. I've bought quite a few shows from there with no issues (power rangers, Doug, Even Stevens, Yu-gi-oh, Digimon, Are you Afraid of the Dark, Salue Your Shorts, Goosebumps etc. etc.). Keep in mind that they are downloaded episodes off online turned into DVDs so it's not perfect quality but I've never had any issues watching any episodes (syncs up fine and quality is good enough). They explain on the website some loophole in copyright laws by selling them as "collector's editions" or something. Anyways, you can get almost any non-released show off there fairly cheap.

I wish some of the late night tv shows were on DVD. I understand they can't put all of them on, but a "Best Of" DVD or box set would be nice.

If you notice the theme song isn't the original Joe Cocker version. It sounds like him but it's definitely a cover to get around licensing.

The title of the thread is also "best shows not on DVD," which makes Netflix irrelevant

It Takes A Thief. It ran for two seasons (2005-06) on the Discovery channel. I thought it was really interesting about two former burglars who would teach people in a unique way how to protect their properties more securely...by showing how easy and out of touch home owners were and breaking in, then showing how fast their prized and valuable items could be gone. Wish I could find it on DVD, there were some incredible episodes

They did that with Married With Children, too. It certainly wasn't the Frank Sinatra version, it was an instrumental knockoff.

I wish they'd put the old Adam West Batman series on DVD.

Me too. Almost tempted to pick up one of those unlicensed copies they sell on eBay.

There is a vendor at the Wisconsin State Fair, I believe they are out of Canada (since it can't be produced in the U.S. due to copyright laws). They are probably not supposed to be selling it there, but they had it, and I bought it immediately!
