Default HUGE 2012-13 Fleer Retro Pull!

Hi all,

After two very disappointing cases of National Treasures (best card was a Durant auto /49), I decided to dig into some Fleer Retro that had come down in price. I had opened a few boxes when it first came out and was pleasantly surprised at how well my low-numbered inserts sold.

I was thrilled to pull a Jason Kidd Showcase Masterpiece 1/1 for my PC as I'm a big Kidd fan...

However, my real big pull came a few boxes into a second case...

The card RAW books at $650 so I think this is a monster!

Thanks,

aclben

They get around that because it is a buyback. The same way Leaf gets around the no license thing by buying cards made by companies who previously held an NBA License.

Mother of God...

Please don't tell me you got the case from BO, I was debating buying one or two over the last few days.

Very nice!!! Congrats on the Kidd too!

How many cases did you do? two?

Should be $4-6k as stated above! ($10k is ridiculous ... these all go in the $4-6k regardless of the insert unless one of the big few ... jambalaya, etc)

Great pull! Throw it on ebay see if the 10k offers come flowing in.

I don't think you understand how wealthy some people in Asia are.

10k may be huge money to you, but to some people it is nothing and there are lots of die hard MJ collectors.

If you understand the rarity of the card and the cost of a case of Fleer Retro, 10k is closer to the best price than 4-6k.

Don't sell it to a cheapskate or someone who drives the market down.

As mentioned above, numerous MJ 1/1 buyback autos from Fleer Retro have hit the market and sold in the $4K - $6K range. What makes you so sure this particular one will sell for 2x what other nearly identical cards have sold for?

LOL yup

I personally pulled one of these & sold. Before I sold I watched many sell, and after I sold I watched many sell. There were a few shilled/fake sales.

Legit sales were in the $3k-6k range. This one may go about $3-4k max in my opinion. It's nice, but surface is not good for signing and it's sort of bland looking IMO ... not saying I wouldn't want to pull it though!

If you can get 6K+ on it...I think you should move it! Right now...there is still some buzz around these...but buybacks often don;t sell well bc there are questions about the authenticity.

YOu can get some SICK SICK SICK cards for 6K and ones that could rise in value.

Just my 2 cents.

That pull is NASTY

Its an excellent pull!

But these guys that always come out of nowhere and start the ridiculous, Oh its a 10k-100k card. They have no idea!

As Paul said above, these usually sell in the 3-4k range. Find me one that legitimately sold for close to 10k! Don't show the fake jambalaya card.
