Should I buy my first ever case?

Im thinking about buying a case. My Dad and I were gonna do 2 finest cases but decided not too we were gonna be able to make money from that though. I always wanted a case. If i get one ill post it on here and sell one here. I want to do something not too much money but a good, box. I will need your guys help if you buy some cards. So tell me if I should make a thread and sell many cards. Also for each card I sell that person buying will get a free card from the case. Such as $10 spent is a $5 card or something, please comment guys on what I should do, how i should sell, what i should get, etc. I really need some help with this decision. Thanks a lot guys. Also the guy at my LCS gives me free cards and every box is cheaper and case because I go there all the time.

I'm not quite sure what that post was about but I will try to help...

If you don't have money, then yes you should sell cards. Don't do it on this board though and don't be prepared to turn a profit. The only reason you should ever buy a case is for fun, if you are looking at it as an investment you will fail.

If you do get a case, go with something cheap. Topps had a whole lot of products that failed this year (GQ, Tribute WBC are the 2 ones that I am thinking of) so those would be cheap, or bowman 2014 with a preorder of just over $50 a box. Don't go for anything high end because it will probably be less fun, cost more, and you will end up wasting your money.

Wait until Jan/Feb for a couple cases of Topps Series 1, cheap break and a lot of fun, always the chance at a huge hit and low risk of big loses.

Gypsy Queen is a super fun rip with a chance at some real nice hits. If you want the best return just go with what is hot, and right now that would be 2013 draft. Also, 2012 draft is loaded and not at too terrible of a price. Good luck!

Agree! My next break is a 2014 Gypsy Queen for the fun and hopefully a PC hit.

Start with 3-6 boxes and go from there. Buy the from Blowout over Black Friday since money seems to be an issue and the risk of case searching is void. Don't go off and buy 2 cases of something to strictly resell without enjoying it.

a and g used to be a big turnarond but mr rip quit building sets so prices came down i always rip lots of topps chrome fb make out 75 percent of the time

Hey OP, for the price point, I would rip Topps Chrome. Best bang for your buck for 2013 product IMO. Beautiful set to have in your PC as well. Tons of color w/2 autos per box?? I would grab that before it hit $100 per box.
