Looks like their putting there twist on Elite, curious to see some of the pics. Always loved these cards.
On card autos too....nice.

Here is the complete checklist of Passing the Torch autos (my favorite insert set every year):
#1 Joe Namath - Mark Sanchez #2 Brett Favre - Fran Tarkenton #3 Brent Jones - Vernon Davis #4 DeMarcus Ware - Ed "Too Tall" Jones #5 Jamaal Charles - Priest Holmes #6 Cris Carter - Sidney Rice #7 Knowshon Moreno - Terrell Davis #8 Emmitt Smith - Felix Jones #9 John Taylor - Michael Crabtree #10 Curtis Martin - Shonn Greene #11 Brent Celek - Pete Retzlaff #12 Darrelle Revis - Deion Sanders #13 Steve Largent - Wes Welker #14 Jack Lambert - James Harrison #15 Michael Irvin - Miles Austin I think it's a strong checklist. My only complaint is pairing John Taylor instead of Jerry Rice with Michael Crabtree. I especially like the card of Lambert/Harrison because not only were they great Steelers LBs who helped their teams win Super Bowl, but they also both went to Kent State University.

HAHAHAHAHA Is it just me or do all of those combos make sense except "Largent/Welker" Every other one has players connected by team, but Welker and Largent are only connected through skin color and position. Racists!

they are very similar players - both undersized for the position, neither guy was drafted high, etc...

Well, Deion Sanders & Darrelle Revis are not connected by team either.

I actually found it more strange that Brett is on a card with that guy that pretty much said he was a disgrace to the position and that it was all his fault the Vikings weren't in the SB.

is it just me or are these the exact same designs as last year for most the inserts?

Well, they're not the exact same designs, but they are similar. I for one like it when card companies keep consistency in their product lines from year-to-year, not straying too much from the themes of the sets.

I haven't had much success at all with Elite FB even though my all-time greatest pull was a redemption from that product way back when. I think I'm cursed by the card gods for selling the best pull I ever had after I redeemed it, the Payton / Sanders PTT dual auto. That's the one card I sold that I really regret selling. GL to those that take a shot but I think I'll wait for Classics. I really hope they do on card autos like they did with Classics Hoops.
