Muhammad Aliís return to cards inches closer

He floated like a butterfly and stung like a bee, but itís been a long, long time since heís been on a trading card.

Muhammad AliĎs return to cardboard came one step closer to full fruition on Wednesday as SportKings unveiled several new images in its forthcoming Series D set, which will include Ali when it arrives on July 15.

The next issue of Beckett Sports Card Monthly (No. 304) will examine Aliís cardboard legacy as the first set from Brian Price and Co. arrives in June, Ringside Boxing, which will include Ali cards as well as a small number of Ali autographs.

Boxing hasnít had its own trading card set since the mid -1990s.

Default with my limited budget...

I went for 2 boxes of Ringside KO since I relate more to boxing than the multi-sport SportKings issue. I'm looking forward to the product overall but the chance to get an Ali auto makes it that much more exciting.

Best to All,
