I have most of those, will need to look at current prices. Do you care if they are signed or not? I know I have a couple extra Ali from Cairo that are signed. I guess the better question would be what we could trade.

Very NICE!
You get a Ydween Efreet? Thought I saw you needed it a few days ago but hadn't found time to dig it out yet. I broke a sealed pack in ~2002 and that was my rare, lol, so yeah it should be mint/pack-pulled. Pretty sure I have a 'white-spotted' Desert too somewhere but not positive of the condition. Those were very popular/well known misprints in the 90s... think they were around 1:12 had the same spot on the art. Last edited by BHotz; 07-10-2015 at 02:37 PM. |

I'd forgotten this was such a small set. Congrats, early magic sets in nm shape are getting tough to put together without, ya know, selling a kidney or something.

Is this the set with stone throwing demons? (or something like that?) I always liked that card lol.
Early magic had all kinds of fun art. My favorite was Dragon Whelp. I used to have a big collection of Dragon Whelp cards. |

Yep stone throwing Devils is in Arabian nights I have it. You're right about early magic art, and the colors seem to pop in early magic more then modern cards. |

The big change to me was the original art was more, and I don't mean this negatively, minimalistic. Now they just put SO MUCH DETAIL in that yes it's impressive but I liked the simple designs they started with. Mons goblin balloon brigade, demonic tutor, lightning bolt, nothing fancy but neat art that fit the cart. Dragon Whelp is adorable. Dark Ritual was spooky, so was the hypnotic spector. Now, meh, maybe it's just my nostalgia because I played the early sets not the later sets.
I will freely admit the lands got way nicer later. |

Nothing beats alpha and beta art with the black boarded the art is great the colors are richer and the black boarder brings it all together. I like and collect newer cards but like you said sometimes their just to busy.

I'd say something like the lich or northern paladin or howling mine would be some of my favorites.

Now when you're done you have to slab all of them and do a set registry right?

Sharazad, one of the first cards we ever "house ruled" to ban the thing because it's probably the most annoying card ever printed.
