2017 TOPPS NATIONAL BASEBALL CARD DAY SATURDAY, AUGUST 12, 2017 #toppsbaseballcardday It's almost here! Head on over to your local hobby shop on Saturday, August 12th as we all collectively celebrate National Baseball Card Day! Card shop owners, feel free to promote your store and any of your in-shop promotions in this thread! Collectors, use this thread to show off pics, share stories, and give a shout out to your LCS! I own a card store in Casselberry, Florida called Big League. It is a little bit outside of Orlando.
I personally wish to thank Blowout Cards for generously promoting National Baseball Card Day to their customer base. The fact that Blowout is willing to close down their site on NBCD to encourage collectors to visit card stores is very appreciated and impressive. Even though at times we may be competitors, on this day Blowout joins with hobby stores to promote the joy of collecting and how important hobby stores are to the collecting experience. I think we agree that hobby stores are critical to the long-term growth of our great hobby and this support you are providing will help the entire industry long-term. On NBCD Topps is providing card stores FREE limited edition NBCD packs that could contain autographs of players like Harper and Judge. But in addition to these packs that will be provided for free while supplies last, there will be lots of other fun events taking place in card stores. For example, my store, Big League in Casselberry will be providing: - FREE Topps NBCD Packs (while supplies last) - Hourly Prizes - 25 Rounds of Price Challenge with over $5,000 in card Beckett Value up for grabs. - Free refreshments, including pizza, sodas, snacks and more - Group Breaks - Trivia for Prizes - Great Discounts and so much more. We are excited for National Baseball Card Day on Saturday, August 12. To celebrate this great in-store event, we awarding 25 lucky shops a complete set 30-card set of oversized (5x7) National Baseball Card Day cards. When posting on social media, make sure you tag Topps and must use the hashtag #ToppsBaseballCardDay. In turn, we will re-share your posts on our social channels to help spread the word!
