Default What is your favorite baseball moment from your lifetime?

I was thinking about this earlier and how many great moments I've witnessed in my first 27 years and then started thinking individually among all sports. Was just curious what some of y'all consider to be your favorite baseball moment during your lifetime (if you wanna include a short/long story, that's fine too!)

I started watching baseball in the late 90s as a kid and became a Red Sox fan because of Nomar. Luckily I didn't have to wait very long for a Red Sox World Series win compared to others... so with that said, mine would undoubtedly be the final out of the 2004 World Series - Renteria's hit to Keith Foulke who then lobs it to Doug Mientkiewicz for the last out. I'll never forget that, it was amazing.

So what say you, Blowout?

1995 Edgar's double vs NY.
2001, 116 wins and going to the AS Game and seeing all 9 M's play, and the Ripken homer.

Outside of 04...

1. Pedro throwing a 17 strikeout 1 hitter against the soon to be 1999 world champion Yankees, in Yankee Stadium. I will never forget the New York crowd cheering for Pedro by the end of that game... What a masterpiece.

2. Pedro hitting the first batter in Tampa in August of 2000, and getting charged. He was not kicked out, then he proceeded to get the next 27 batters out. To this day i believe he walked into that game knowing he wpuld throw a perfect game, he just wanted to make a point to the Tampa batters before he did it.

3. Facing elimination down in Game 5 in the 1999 ALDS, Pedro (who was injured) came on in relief in the 4th inning and closed out the next 6 innings by no hitting the Indians, while the Sox came back to win.
BONUS - A week later he struck out 12 Yankees in the ALCS, basically because #@#@#@#@ if he was letting Roger win that game.

4. Game 7, 1991. It is criminal that Jack Morris isn't in the Hall of Fame.
BONUS - I almost get thrown out of slowpitch softball games for doing the Knoblach/Gagne fake that kept Lonnie Smith from scoring. Genius.

One of my favorite moments, was the david ortiz grand slam vs the tigers in the ALCS that was freaking amazing.

Manny Ramirez homerun vs the angels in the 2007 ALDS

Pedros all star performance, my first I love baseball moment

Mine is when the Rangers went to the 1st World Series. Neftali Feliz striking out A-Rod for the final out in the ALCS couldn't have been drawn up any better in my head.

We went to the game when Beltre hit 2,999. We didn't get to see 3K but every at bat during that game was electric. The crowd stood from when he walked in from the batter's circle until he was back in the dugout. Just awesome!

1. Watching Mark Fydrich pitch vs Oakland in 76 with my dad. Bert Campaneras turned his back in hitting / fielding practice to field a grounder while a outfielder drilled him with a throw back into the infield. I believe North started storming the mound, Aurelio Rodriguez made a nasty dive on a line shot down 3rd base preserving a scoreless game. After the game not a single fan left while we chanted "We Want The Bird".
2. Rob Deer was hit by a White Sox pitcher who was lipping off to Deer "Rob was a pretty good sized player". Sparky Anderson comes jogging out of the dugout, grabs Deer and brings him to the mound. The umps go racing to the mound asking Sparky what he is doing and he replies "The pitcher was talking to Deer so I just wanted the pitcher to say it to his face". I had to laugh after that Sparky moment.
3. When Aaron hit his record breaking home run and the two fans came onto the field.

Gotta go with Donnie Baseball's home run in Game 2 of the 1995 ALDS. "Hang on to the roof!"

Awesome series from start to finish, though bittersweet for us Yankee fans that year.

Had SRO tickets for this game. Never seen a ball hit so hard/heard a stadium cheer so loud in my life.

This never happened. I was there.

Flaherty singled in the 9th.

Brian Daubach was a scumbag.

Years earlier Pedro got 27 in a row with Montreal but lost it in the 10th.

As a Giants fan, lots of moments come to mind.

However, as a baseball fan, this is the first thing that comes to mind...

Touch 'em all, Joe! First of all, I love Joe Carter, but it's the pure jubilation he exhibits that I just find so endearing. This is every kid's dream, to hit the walk-off game winner in the World Series.

Yep, I also watched a Montreal game he pitched and if memory serves he lost another perfect game by hitting Reggie Sanders who charged the mound late in the game.

Oh and for years my favorite moment used to be this:

But after experiencing every pitch of the 2015 post season with Jaina, this is now my favorite:
