$300 to buy a Judge Auto or bunch of retail Boxes.

I have gone thru the 5 target stores near me trying to find a box of Topps Chrome with no luck.

And I have done that the last 3 days in a row, there simply is none to be seen.

Now I know the reason why, whoever are suppose to stock those stores probably have a different plan in mind.

Honestly, would any one really pay 300 for 6 retail boxes with 5 hanger packs ?? When you can buy a Topps Chrome Judge Auto for the same money ??

What do you guys think, same with the Jumbo boxes going for $250 for a chance of a Judge auto vs buying and knowing you will get one for around $300. Which is the better option .... I always wonder about that.

This^^^ my daughter was born this year so I'm doing the 2017 pink set for her. Something to remember her birth year by. Yes I could have bought every 200 card in set but what fun is that? I bought 12 hanger packs and opened them with her there. No she won't remember it, but I will remember pulling the pink Judge for her set and not having to buy it off ebay. I did trade for other cards we needed but it was still nice to pull some myself. She also lovind chewing on the chrome wrapper )!

depends what you're looking for:

if you want a Judge autograph, you're better off just buying it.

But if you're just looking to see what you get in a box, then go for it. Retail is fun, but I wouldn't drop $300 for retail stuff, just get the hobby version.

Target had them available online yesterday. I thought about buying some, had a bunch in my cart, but I already bought $130 worth of TC retail after release to rip. I'll just quit while I'm ahead.

Sooooo, I left it for the kids. I was curious so checked back a few hours later and then there was a 1 box limit for blasters. Those kids must've been getting greedy!

This is THE reason to open packs. For the fun and memories you make. If you buy retail for the sole purpose of making money... you're doing it wrong!

That's awesome! If I ever happen to actually find any of the cards, you can have my pinks to work towards your set. Are the pinks a Wal Mart or Target exclusive or something like that, or a certain type of retail (blaster/hanger)?

That is great. Had my son in December. Maybe I will do the Sepia set for him. Great idea there(Though that pink is really perfect for a girl)... Which pink do you still need? About to rip these tonight :-)

Buy the card. Bought 2 blasters to see if I could pull a mancini. Luckily pulled a judge sepia because there was nothing else in either. Sold the judge for $40 to break even and bought a Mancini auto for $15. Less than a single blaster.

I've spent 230ish on TC retail, and don't even have a base Judge to show for it. Doh. Did get a blue Mancini auto tho.....don't think I'll be buying any more retail for awhile. I am a collector and not a seller, so I don't mind blowing money sometimes just so I can open some packs.

This AM I was literally at Walmart as the $35 TC boxes were being put out, grabbed them both. Apparently the distributor told me there's a guy that got pissed cause she wouldn't let him just buy the whole tray with blasters, value boxes, and 3 packs as is last week.
