Default Storage unit find - need autograph help

Was working with a guy that does the whole storage unit thing and he came across a ton of sports cards. There was a lot of auto'd stuff from the Mariners (local team) that all looked good to me. The rest of the autos I have no experience with and was wondering what you guys thought. Real or fake? NFS I should add, just wondering if any of them are worth taking a shot at sending out to PSA DNA

Here are some more of the autos

(stack of 30+ of the same Griffey)

The Jeter's look funny. Mays sig looks nothing like that now, but that may have been how hd used to sign.

The K's in Koufax don't match at all.

I've had 2 authenticated Mays' autos over the last 20 years and they look nothing like that. I have nothing to compare to though of his early career sig.

I think the Mays might be secretarial. I'm leaning toward good on the Jeter's. Koufax not sure but don't look right.

i can tell you 100% certain the jeters are fake. i have owned over 100 jeter certified autos in the past 20 years and those are fake.
he never curls up the 2 huge curls in his sig they kinda just slant done and the e at the end of jeter is wrong as well. they are good forgeries but just that, forgeries.
i dont know enough about mays or koufax to make a opinion but usually if one is bad they all are when coming form the same lot.
send them to psa. you never know what them. i have had them say plenty of times that autos i knew for a fact were real they said were fake.
all we can do is give an opinion and im 99.9% sure those jeters are fake, i wouldnt certify them if i did that.

To my untrained eye, the 1959 Koufax looks good but the Superstar card looks fake as heck.

Mays I unfortunately have very little experience with seeing in person, but those would have to be VERY early Autos if they are legit. They are no where near recent autos.

As for Jeter, they show similarities to early Jeter Autos, but neither of them actually look right. The Derek looks close with the second being closer. It's the Jeter part that is throwing me off, the R at the end looks very wrong on both, and the center loop that comes back around the J and then loops down that far just doesn't fit. I would say both those are not real, but it could also be a version of his from when he was developing his signature into what it is now. It would have to be a 93/94 signature but even then I don't know.

Just looking at the two Koufax signatures:
The "S" and the "K" are not even close to each other. They look as if they were signed by two different people. Once you see obvious discrepancies in several signatures I would have doubts on the rest as well.

Mays are fake. Never seen an auto of his on a card where u could actually make out the name. The first letter should not be rounded should look like a "4". Must have done those right after the Jeter!

Thanks for the feedback. I pretty much figured most of the cards would be non-authentic. The Griffey photos look OK to me, but then again I could be wrong.

Added some more photos of the autos found

Here's one I have. Pretty similar from 70s to 2010, much shakier since then.

The 163 Koufax looks off. The "K" is not right.

I would say no to the Mick, absolutely not to the Griff and laugh at Joe. Sorry to have to tell your friend looking like he bought a scammers storage unit.

It is very rare to find a storage unit filled with stuff like this that is legit. Look at how much money would be sitting there in just what you have posted you have to think these things go for auction when people don't pay for their unit for several months, depending on the state. someone who would have that many legitimate high end autos would know what they have, most would keep them somewhere where they are not subjected to poor conditions. They would also go to the unit and pull all of this stuff out of it when they decided to stop paying for the unit.

Again this is most likely a scammers unit that wanted a quick way to get himself away from all this stuff.

Here are some examples of early Mays. His signature has changed now and then:

This one is from 1962:

I will probably roll the dice on one of the Mays, maybe one of the Jeters.

The same was said about a Ripken signed index I have. Then I was advised to talk to someone that only authenticates Ripken. Found out it was signed prior to him making the majors and that's why it didn't match up with sigs that are posted. Maybe send a one or 2 in and if they come back authentic send in more

The Mantle is 100% fake and the Joe D was signed by his sister. The Mays/Koufax do not look right to me at all.

Default This is a Jeter auto I got in person

Here is my in-person Derek Jeter autograph authenticated by Global Authentics. It looks similar to yours.

I would just spend the money and send every card to PSA/DNA. you've prob spent more money on a nice dinner and pooped it out the next day then you'd lose if every single one comes back as nonauthentic.
