Talking I am in shock....My son just pulled this from a $7.99 repack box at Target...

My son's 9th birthday was on Saturday and he got some money. Of course it was burning a hole in his pocket, so we stopped at Target tonight for some cards.

**Here is where I'm taking a little credit....
He wanted to spend $20 on Pokemon cards, but I suggested a little baseball and a little Pokemon. I happened to see a cheap repack box for $7.99....it looks like this:

It had a Teenymates mini figures pack
50 junk base cards
1 pack of 2016 Topps Series 1
1 pack of 2016 Topps Series 2
1 pack of 2015 Bowman
1 pack of 2016 Topps Chrome

You could only see the 2015 Bowman and 2016 Topps Chrome from the outside of the box, but I figured they were decent packs to get.

Anyway, he busts everything except for the 2016 Topps Chrome and gets jack squat. I was expecting that, but he got a couple Tigers cards and a Jose Altuve (his favorite non-Tigers player), so he was pretty happy.

He opened the last pack and the second card was a Corey Seager Perspectives insert and I thought that was a decent card to get. Well, it was nothing compared to the next card.....

A Mookie Betts SUPERFRACTOR!!!!!!!!!! 1:11,811 Packs

He was so funny...he had no clue what it was until I showed him the numbering on back. He started jumping up and down and I had to explain it was a superfractor.

I just figured I would share.

See what happens when you save some for the kids! Love the story, but we all know that if you opened it yourself, the Mookie would have been a base card.

Congrats! and Happy Birthday!

That is sad, but so true. I've hit a mini superfractor and an insert superfractor, but nothing as nice as this. Still waiting for a super auto as well....

Haha....I know it probably should go in his PC as his first super, but he asked if I could sell it and then he could buy some cards of players that he collects. Plus, I've been trying to teach him about saving money and he wants to sell and save half. I'm proud of him for that!

If I were drinking something, said drink would've been all over my phone.

I do, but probably didn't notice because I never pull any good Red Sox cards...

I'm assuming it's a repeated comment in every single thread that contains a Red Sox card.

Great hit and I am rooting for him to not have reached the peak of his breaking skills at only nine years old!
