Default Once in a lifetime mail day...

So months ago, I was lucky enough to be offered a spot in 2017 Allen & Ginter by Topps. Needless to say, I jumped at the chance. Though I was a bit sad that I didn't have a base card (along with Mayweather and Buffy, so not too sad), I couldn't possibly be any more ecstatic to have the following four cards in my collection.

The first came from brentandbecca. I had been chatting with him before release to purchase the base parallels he would pull. Once the checklist came out, that idea was shot. Though he would end up emailing me the first night of release, he had pulled the first autograph I had seen.

After that, the waiting game started. When would the other parallels show up?

First was the black border /25.

After that, it was time to wait for a red ink. It took awhile, but one finally popped and I was able to just get the seller to end the auction. I couldn't possibly wait a whole week to get this card!

Soon after that, it was time for A&G X. Watching the Ginter X thread like a hawk, I noticed that calculusdork happened to pull my card during his break. After asking him about the availability of the card, he said there were so many great board members that would send him his card for free, that he needed to pay it forward, so he would be sending it to me for free as well.

Of course, after receiving them, they all need to be encased in some beautiful PSA holders (the black is on the way now). Seems like they graded pretty decent!

Still crazy to believe I have my own card!

Congrats! Who says video games won't get you anywhere? Pretty insane to have your own card! Not too many people here can say that.

also whats the story behind getting your own card and how many did you sign ect, what was the process like? I'm sure many of us want to know what the process for signing these are, like were you allowed to put anything you want to make variants?

Very cool! I keep an old gameboy advance with an original gameboy Tetris game in my desk. Its a great stress reliever for me as I play whenever I'm overwhelmed.
