I'm looking to bulk sell about 500 cards with ebay recent sales value of $5000. Many of the cards are in the $8-25 range, with about 50 or so higher than that. Most cards are of prospects/young stars and have room to grow in value, or can be graded and flipped. Lot of Bowman 1sts, refractors, and autos (but nothing too crazy for autos). I have no interest in breaking up the lot, I would rather use the more desirable cards priced at a good value to sell them all.
I have put all of the cards and their sale values into a spreadsheet. My questions are these:
There is a card show in the Boston area this weekend. Should I bring the lot there (with printed copies of my spreadsheet) and try to sell at the show to a dealer, try to sell as a lot on BO, or go a different route?
I'm thinking of pricing the lot at 50% of ebay sale value. Is that too high, too low, or just right?
What other advice am I missing for trying to sell cards in a lot?
Thank you for your advice. I would like to make a decision on how to do this today, so that I can focus on selling the cards tomorrow.
