Maybe twice in the last 10 years of selling and buying cards on eBay, I’ve had a seller flat out refuse a refund for a damaged card. I’m in on trashing sellers or buyers if we can work a deal to make things fair but some sellers have no real clue about making things right.

I bought a 2020 Topps Heritage RC auto via BIN. The listing image cut the top edge of the border off. Seller remarked the condition was excellent. In hindsight I should have thought twice but alas.

Fir this particular card, I thought $17 was a decent deal.

Card arrives and sure enough the top border has some chipping not evident in the photos. It’s super noticeable.

I asked for a return/refund. No dice.

I asked for a partial refund. No dice

Seller offered a cards in return...base cards.

Thinking I’ll just block the guy. But damn that’s weak.

If its damaged you can file a not as described complaint and the seller will have little choice in the matter.

Asking for a partial is against Ebay rules and can void any claim you may make and make any feedback you leave removable.

Blocking sellers does not stop you from buying fromm them.

File a claim for Not As Described and you should be golden
