Maybe twice in the last 10 years of selling and buying cards on eBay, I’ve had a seller flat out refuse a refund for a damaged card. I’m in on trashing sellers or buyers if we can work a deal to make things fair but some sellers have no real clue about making things right.
I bought a 2020 Topps Heritage RC auto via BIN. The listing image cut the top edge of the border off. Seller remarked the condition was excellent. In hindsight I should have thought twice but alas. Fir this particular card, I thought $17 was a decent deal. Card arrives and sure enough the top border has some chipping not evident in the photos. It’s super noticeable. I asked for a return/refund. No dice. I asked for a partial refund. No dice Seller offered a cards in return...base cards. Thinking I’ll just block the guy. But damn that’s weak. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If its damaged you can file a not as described complaint and the seller will have little choice in the matter. Asking for a partial is against Ebay rules and can void any claim you may make and make any feedback you leave removable. Blocking sellers does not stop you from buying fromm them. |
