Terrible news, he was a great college player, and a good guy.

I saw him live several times when I was at FSU, those were some great games vs. Bobby Sura/Charlie Ward and my boys.

Montross and Damon Bailey had the state of Indiana on tilt for a couple years while they were in high school. I'll never forget looking at high school scores every Saturday morning to see what each player was doing.

I remember his down low presence for the Tar Heels championship team.

His pro career was a typical journeyman career but he was very professional and never whined about minutes or shots even in Boston when he hadn't drifted down to a journeyman level.

He will be missed.
