Default Eric Montross passes at 52

Always sad to see someone go so young, Celtics legend lol

Terrible news, he was a great college player, and a good guy.

I saw him live several times when I was at FSU, those were some great games vs. Bobby Sura/Charlie Ward and my boys.

Rest in Peace.

Montross and Damon Bailey had the state of Indiana on tilt for a couple years while they were in high school. I'll never forget looking at high school scores every Saturday morning to see what each player was doing.

Way too young.

ESPN article I read says died from cancer. #@#@#@#@ cancer.

I'd like to remember something positive, so here's the card I always think of when I see or hear the name Eric Montross. It's from one of my favorite NBA sets.

I remember his down low presence for the Tar Heels championship team.

His pro career was a typical journeyman career but he was very professional and never whined about minutes or shots even in Boston when he hadn't drifted down to a journeyman level.

He will be missed.
