We use esupply store and buy 400 #00 mailers at a time. $44.00 + 16.00 S&H = $60.00 or $0.15/ea.

just might want to use the ebay site. I ordered from there and 500 is the way to go. but you have to order atleast 500 to get a good return. here was the break down of my last order.. bin 8.95 + 31.95 shipping=40.90/500 comes out to .081 per bubble mailer and I dont sell a ton on ebay but it will last for over a year normally.

The ebay site is the best. Exactly $0.08 per envelope SHIPPED. 8 Pennies per envelope. You can't beat that guy, I have personally bought 1,500 + from him so far. I wish he had more boxes though.

From the same guy tonight, I just won this auction for a 500 ct bubble mailers...$1.95 plus $36.95 shipping = $38.90. That's .0778 per envelope. WOW! Thanks for the thread!

Geez, guys. I watched a movie and came back and the post went crazy. I ordered 500 from the ebay guy as it was the best deal including the price of shipping(must have got the other auction that mwheeler27 was looking at). I figured I had some serious trading to do in the future after getting to know some of you gentlemen. Thanks for the help on the potential picks. Philip

One lesson i learned about ordering 000 4x8 Mailers, there can be a smaller size version listed as 4x8 as i am looking rite now at one ordered from Haddaway's which is about a half inch smaller in width & length at eSupplystore & Altusmarket you get the normal 4x8. And yes that half inch loss both ways makes a big difference as you can not fit the 35 count plastic cases inside the smaller version. No more Haddaway's for me i would rather pay a few more cents knowing all the mailers are usable for 1 up to 30 cards.

I have a good question, how much do you guys get charged for shipping a regular 1 once mailer? I regularly get charged $1.13, today I had 2 oz packages and was charged $0.97 somewhere else. I am totally confused why post offices charge different rates.

I have been putting two 41 cent stamps on for over 2 months now for up to 2 cards in bubble mailer, i have sent out 100's not one has come back. I just drop them in the mail box, if i did go to the window the would be $1.13 each

Ok that is what I wanted to know. I think I will start doing the same thing. Cause yea 1 once is $0.80 and 2 ounces is $0.97. Cause these bubble envelopes are big, but not that big that it counts as a parcel box.

I was just searching through the thread for bubble mailers and found the one I was looking for. Clicked on the link and BAM!!! there was an auction with less than 2 minutes for a 500 ct 4x8 Bubble mailer. Sniped it for $1.25 + shipping of $36.95=38.20 dlvd.....not too bad right?

Those are the ones that I have been using and like them. They are slightly longer than a normal #000. Which is nice because there is less guessing at the PO about the size minimum for Delievery Confirmation.

Doesn't deliver confirmation get determined by width of the package?

Length and width have nothing to do with it. Its all deals with thickness. A package done with electronic dc must be 3/4" thick..why I don't know, but thats they're rule. If it does not meet this criteria, and if caught, they'll upgrade the package charges to priority and tag the recipent with postage due.

I get told something new everytime I mail something. The price is never the standard .80, 1.13, or 1.38 anymore either. Plus we have an increase only on month away again. I will never figure it out. I guess that you should put a styrofoam peanut in anything with DC so that it is thick enough. That I did figure out, but for some reason she measured it too, aparently it must be over 3x6 as well.

I've got my special method to thicken a package.....lol.
I have shipped out over 20 items sold on ebay and used Paypal shipping labels (most 1 card auctions). Never added anything to increase the thickness of the package and haven't had a problem. Maybe I am just lucky at this point?

a pump?
Speaking of shipping with PayPal, I can't figure it out, every time I try it wants to charge me like $4-5 for something that weighs 1 oz. and when I take it to the PO its like $1.30 or so.

Are you sure your moving the drop down menus to 1st class shipping, parcel/package, and putting the 1 in the oz and not the pound box?

If it is charging $4 - $5 for a one ounce package you probably have priority mail selected as the service.

$$ wise, I don't think its cheaper. There are sites that do offer reduced rates on say insurance, so you can make some money up that way (you pay for their service, but if you charge USPS insurance rates, it costs you about 1/3-1/2 of it, so you can make your fees back that way is you do a reasonable amount of volume). In the long run (thanks to having to use the DC), I think its better. It does give you the DC much cheaper than what the USPS charges (0.18 verses 0.65). Where you really save is your time. YOu can print postage enjoying a cold one, at 2 am in the morning, and not have to try and get to the post office during their hours to mail a package. Once printed just stick them in your mail box, or just go to the post office and drop them off. If you don't have a busy post office, its not so bad, but for me the wait can average 5 minutes to over an hour just to get to the counter.
I believe DC is cheaper then if you do it at the PO. Really just the convience factor of not having to drive over and sit in line at the Post Office. The PO in my town there are only three registers with only two opened at one time. Painful:eek:

I live 2 seconds away from my PO, and depending on what time you get their its either going to have a pretty short line or a very very very long line. There are 6 registers at my PO and usually 3-4 employees working at a time. As far as packaging I think it will save a lot of time. I have to buy a postal scale before I could start using paypal shipping though.
The 08 UD Premier break packaging took me 3 hours to Cut & Tape the address labels, Pad(to thicken the mailer) the bubble mailer. I had to ship out 25 packages that next day.

I use a digital meat scale...cost me less than 20 bucks (10 if I remember correctly) and works great. I just recently got into the sticky printable label and I love them. Adds more to your costs, but print it, stick it and your done. Really nice when you've got multiple packages to ship. I've been able to do my group breaks printing in about an hour.

After taping paper to front of bubble mailer for a few auctions I thought there has to be a better way. I picked up a pack of them a month ago at staples for like 12 bucks. They are awesome!
:)! Tip: uncheck print receipt in paypal shipping preferences otherwise you kill two labels when you print.

Junkie got his from amazon last week. Free shipping and no tax. Goes up to 10lbs. They have a 5lb scale too that is only $29.99. Went with the more expensive one because I have been shipping some heavier items my wife has been selling with her fleabay account.
