Yeah.... being that young and you are DH only... not gonna get much hobby love.

80% fielding percentage at 3B isn't gonna cut it.

Feels like a lot of players with good HR totals. Meaning we need to readjust what we consider good and what we consider great. (im sure 17 is still very good).

Half of your list haven't thrown 100 major league innings and to list a guy like DeGrom ... who turns THIRTY next year as young?

Go look back at the last six drafts. You'll likely pull every young major league superstar out of them from the hitting side (Correa, Judge, Bryant, Lindor, etc. etc. etc) but you won't find a single quality arm who has impacted the game in any meaningful way.

Look around at the games today for example. Wainwright v Miley ... 22 runs. Ryu vs. Woj ... 12 runs, Gallardo v Perez ... 14 runs etc. etc. etc. Every team is just running through old tread guys rather than throwing their young pitchers, well, because they don't have any.

Pitching is being washed away before our very eyes. After the maybe handful of pitchers that make their way into the hall from this generation, it could be a very very very long time before another one is enshrined.

I was going off top of my head and didn't really realize how old DeGrom was. All you asked were who the best young pitchers in game were. Thanks for adding your criteria for innings pitched after though

Jose Fernandez and Gerrit Cole have and were just fine

The last 2 or 3 years have seen the quality of pitching around the league go from bad to worse....

Top talent from the minors such as Glasnow, Giolito, Cotton, Garrett, etc. is getting lit up for the most part.

There are key injuries to starters on basically every team each year and then those players often take another year to get back in form.

Wachas rise was nice, but did not exactly sustain which is what we are not seeing. Guys are having a good year if they're lucky and then falling off a lot.
