I can overlook messages on the court and on the jerseys and on the t-shirts, but goddamn... stay in your lane. If you’re a basketball commentator, then just do that. I’m quite confident none of the customers I deal with want to hear how I feel about anything, and I would never think to subject them to it.
I spend a lot of my commute time listening to discussions on race related topics. Deep discussions conducted by professional intellectuals who study this stuff for a living. There isn’t a lot of congruency between mainstream narratives and the ideas and beliefs discussed in the content I listen to. I have a genuine interest in developing a better understanding of racial issues and police/civilian interactions, but this garbage ain’t it. I also don’t need it forced on me. I’m eager to consume real content on my own time, but when I turn on hoops, I just want to watch hoops.
