In the - where the hell was my head - category ... was recently out thrifting and was looking through the jersey section (looking for Washington Capitals) and overlooked a black Yankees jersey ... signed (with authentication) by Derek Jeter. FML. Guy behind me grabbed it, then proceeded to follow me around yelling "let's see if this guy misses anything else good"

Thrift stores around here would have asked him to put the item back and leave for harassing other customers.

Ida kicked that guy in his jimmy and taken the jersey straight to the checkout.

Looks like an ear or nose aspirator or similar medical device.

What does Amazon charge for fees? Not including ANY of his expenses, he only had to sell 72 of them at a $35 markup for the $2500 figure he is getting to. If 30 of them ate up his fees and he sold 100 or so....it makes sense.

I don’t remember and would have to watch the video again, but all of his accounting was incorrect

I was using eBay/PayPal fee structure when I originally sent the store list to my brother and was expecting he would clear 12.47 per game on eBay if he wanted to run around buying the games

Guy said he sold 171

$2,132.37 if he did everything right and fees are same on eBay/Amazon/PayPal

He messed up buying his own boxes 171x1.30 or so with tax 222.30

He estimated shipping at 8.00 per, he was paying 8.95 minimum and up to 14.85 if he shipped to NY/PA/LA... so add another 2.00 to his estimate 2x171= 342

564.30 minimum in unnecessary expenses

75.00 gas, he traveled like 16hrs or something he said it took him 2 meals, lets say 10.70 to make it even 650.00

2132.37-650= 1482.37 true profit is believable, depending on his tax bracket he likely cleared 800-1100

Makes sense, thanks for doing the math for me. Although that is a ton of write offs coming off the tax bill, at least.

That will add to some of his overall profit, but 800 to 1100 is still a nice days haul. Plus there is another small amount of residual income from his Youtube channel that he likely will get for months or years to come. Its not much but those pennies will keep piling to the total.

Great day for anyone, but could have been more. I was watching one of his newer videos earlier and he said amazon fee is 21%

He sold the other 40 he kept in the original video at 44.95, each cost 21.22, 9.43 fee, shipping 8.95 or more, boxes he bought 1.30

4.05 profit

He says in the video he made 21.80 on that 44.95 sale, I don’t know

21.80+21.22= 43.02 so I guess it cost him less than 1.93 for fees, shipping, and the 1.30 boxes he bought or he was trying to go viral

Kudos to the man though for hustling

I always laugh at some of the youtube comments though. Especially those that say you cannot sell things you find at garage sales and thrifts stores for big profits. I once saw a big argument over coffee mugs. Even though the person was proven wrong many times over he continued to insist that nobody would pay more than 10 dollars for a used coffee cup. When he finally figured it out he said well I was not refering to collectible ones. But the comments from stat to end were hilarious.

There are some youtubers I just cannot stand the biggest is Susan Wells or whatever her name is. She talks about selling thousands of dollars a month but you look at her Ebay sales and its maybe 2 items a month for small amounts. Another is Rockstar Flipper. There are others, but to me it seems the good ones who showed off their finds are gone now all they want to do is talk about the same things over and over.

I wish more people would think this way, leaves more for me. I just picked up 100 candelabra light bulbs for $20 brand new in the boxes. People just walking past them in a frenzy trying to find the "big dollar item" on the shelf. I was like.....ummm....here it is!

I checked today and did not find any Carnage. I got a couple Jokers and Haley Quinns. I also bought some Finn Balor and Seth Rollins figures and one Batman Beyond.
