Truthfully you should have bought them all. The $35 shipped people are underselling. I sold 41 of them for $38.95 plus shipping in 6 days on eBay.

I think you are wrong about there being another wave of these being released. My understanding is they are not getting more of these in. That’s what my local Walmart has told me.

I don't think another wave will be released...but I think a few thousand people read that article and think they can make $$ with them...the secondary market will be flooded and it will be a race to the bottom

Well most of the Estate Sale companies are wrapping up this week for the year. Was able to get a box of about 40 Louis Lamour paperbacks for 3.00 and a bunch of old photos for 5.00 today.

Made my first sale in a long time. I just haven't had time to list things with finishing a master's, selling our house, and moving to a new house.

Got $40

In the - where the hell was my head - category ... was recently out thrifting and was looking through the jersey section (looking for Washington Capitals) and overlooked a black Yankees jersey ... signed (with authentication) by Derek Jeter. FML. Guy behind me grabbed it, then proceeded to follow me around yelling "let's see if this guy misses anything else good"

Thrift stores around here would have asked him to put the item back and leave for harassing other customers.

Ida kicked that guy in his jimmy and taken the jersey straight to the checkout.

Looks like an ear or nose aspirator or similar medical device.

And...no way in hell he made $2,500 PROFIT after fees

Guy that made the video is in my area. I know the stores he went to and can estimate the route he took via brickseek. The day he released the video it looked like he hit 10 stores

I’ve made the same run he did for other items but it was for way more profitable items. Stopping at each store I suspect he stopped at would be around a 513 mile round trip depending where in Huntsville he lives, and he missed 2 stores because they close at midnight and brickseek had multiples at each store the day the video went on worldstar

He also bought Lowe’s or Home Depot boxes to ship which are 1.12-1.56 per box, usps has board game boxes for free and shipping is cheaper

No way he cleared anywhere close to 2500, after gas and shipping on top of fees I’d be surprised if he cleared 800, still nothing to sneeze at for a day trip but he did everything wrong

Also he messed up by not going 1-2 hours further south, where he left a ton.

I will upload a picture of a text i sent to my brother of the stores the guy didn’t go to and left probably 200+ games that were all within a 3 hour round trip from the route he took to get back to Huntsville

What does Amazon charge for fees? Not including ANY of his expenses, he only had to sell 72 of them at a $35 markup for the $2500 figure he is getting to. If 30 of them ate up his fees and he sold 100 or so....it makes sense.

I don’t remember and would have to watch the video again, but all of his accounting was incorrect

I was using eBay/PayPal fee structure when I originally sent the store list to my brother and was expecting he would clear 12.47 per game on eBay if he wanted to run around buying the games

Guy said he sold 171

$2,132.37 if he did everything right and fees are same on eBay/Amazon/PayPal

He messed up buying his own boxes 171x1.30 or so with tax 222.30

He estimated shipping at 8.00 per, he was paying 8.95 minimum and up to 14.85 if he shipped to NY/PA/LA... so add another 2.00 to his estimate 2x171= 342

564.30 minimum in unnecessary expenses

75.00 gas, he traveled like 16hrs or something he said it took him 2 meals, lets say 10.70 to make it even 650.00

2132.37-650= 1482.37 true profit is believable, depending on his tax bracket he likely cleared 800-1100

Makes sense, thanks for doing the math for me. Although that is a ton of write offs coming off the tax bill, at least.
