Default Kobe Bryant is the ultimate team player!

Seriously look at him, he's such a great guy that he's doing everything in his power to leave the Lakers with the #1 overall pick when he retires! I mean, there's no other explanation that makes sense for his 4-21 on 3 point shots through 2 games, right?

Watching the games it looks like every other player on the Lakers is afraid to shoot the ball. They pass up shots so that Kobe can miss shots. I think they fear that Kobe will get pissed off, and he probably does if they miss. It's the Los Angeles Kobe Bryan'ts, not the Los Angeles Lakers. Kobe will never accept being a role player, or not being the "star". He will never admit he is on the decline in his career, and accept playing less minutes and taking less shots. Lakers paid him a lot because they know he sells tickets, whether they won or lose, and whether he shoots 100% or 15%. And I'm sure Kobe doesn't want to end his career with anything sub-par. So he'll want to be high up on that scoring list regardless of the team's record.

wiggy went 5/13 for 18 pts and the win on the road. No excuses necessary

as for kobe I wouldn't worry too much. I think he will be fine. LAL just have a terrible team.

Give Kobe a break. Dude missed like 3 seasons shot attempt. He should jack 80 shots on average to make up his number.

What I laugh at is the way ESPN still covers Kobe.

Game highlights of the Lakers/Wolves loss showed Kobe going 4-4 from an 8-24 performance.

Tonight he's 5-12 but 3-3 on the highlights, including his only 3 during a 1-8 sharpshooting display!

This is the best time to buy Kobe stuff, when fair weather fans flee and confidence wains not acknowledging the fact he's a Top 10 G.O.A.T. player and lock in for the HOF unless he does something stupid off the court... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3m2d7QAIX8Q @ 1:11 into the clip https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UF1chDbJKi0

I guess Harden must be trying to do the same thing in Houston by shooting 3-22 on 3 point shots through 2 games.

The game I saw "wiggy" went 2-10 with 1 board and 0 assists and sucked

Kobe came out of the womb scoring 20

Well yeah, Harden is one of the sloppiest superstars in the game today. Sure, when he's on he's incredible, but when he's not it's a freakin dumpster fire. The difference is Kobe hasn't been on in years, and due to all the wear on his tires he likely won't be on his game for more than a handful of games this season, but will continue to act like he's still capable of single handedly carrying the Lakers on his back, when he's doing just as much (if not more) to harm them as he is to help them.

Um...that's how you show sports highlights. What would be the point in seeing all the shots he missed? The crap you guys pull out of the sky is amazing.

Yes it was a bad game for wiggins he was not feeling it that is for sure. Thing is wiggy knew he was not shooting good so he stopped and just played defence and the wolves ended up winning.

I also agree Kobe is really good.

Doesn't have to be, just the way that organisation decides to do it. A few Kobe baskets, then 'lets see, what else happened during the game?'

And I'm not pulling it outa the sky or whatever, just reporting what they're reporting. Just that some people don't like reading it.

I was going to say we'll all be braindead by playoff time, but at this rate? All-star weekend. At least then the human billboarding won't bother anyone.

I'm just happy to see Kobe playing basketball again. There aren't that many games left in his incredible career.

No, can you imagine how long that'd take??

Perhaps I should lower expectations when it comes to watching ESPN game highlights. It's all about the stars not the game itself.
