That's three drops from receivers who have been hit in the chest (or knee) costing him maybe 75 yards passing.

The Browns aren't going to make the playoffs. They really need to see what Manziel can do going forward and just play him the rest of the year.

Well, 1 TD and 0 INT was the ONLY option that none of the 98 voters picked...that's pretty weird.

And please give crap to stulopez7 who decided to vote for that option more than 2 hours into the game.

I'm going to say this. I understand Pettine is trying to save his own job playing McCown but Johnny needs to play. How do you expect him to have any consistency playing once in a while. I thought he played good and was pretty calm in the pocket against a good Bengals defense. Pettine is being selfish for his own good. I understand McCown is playing good football but hes not the future. Pettine is getting fired regardless of what QB is playing. Might as well play Manziel. /rantover

I concur 100% with what you just said. Experience is going to make Johnny improve. McCown has peaked...and at 1-5 as the Browns' QB, there's no point in playing him now.

Yep.

I was a Pettine supporter last year. He's absolutely lost his mind. He's clueless out there. His statements last night about Johnny sealed it for me.

McCown has been very good. I get the "save my job" mentality.

It's done at this point. It's time to see what Johnny is before you go into the Draft...

Because drafting a QB (especially if you might have to trade for one) is a big proposition with how much help you need on Defense.

I'm going to hold out hope every day that Josh Gordon can stay off the weed. What a difference he would make with Barnidge, Benjamin, and Duke.

Im not 100% sure but isnt Josh Gordon a FA after this season? If so do you think the Browns will resign him?

Next three Browns games: Steelers, Ravens, and Bengals.
10 days to prep for Steelers, bye week then Ravens. Get everyone healthy and let Johnny start. Doubt it happens though. Will be so fun watching an AFC North team in the Super Bowl again.

I don't think he's going to be a FA. The suspended year doesn't count towards his time in the league, so his contract is essentially frozen. At least that's what I understand from the situation.

You would be correct, he's going to be a Restricted Free Agent when he is up anyhow.

No - he's under contract for 2 more years - he lost this year via his suspension and he didn't play enough the year before when he only played half the year. It was a big drama.

He's a Cleveland Brown until 2018 unless he becomes so big a headache they just release him

People hate on JF but I'd love to have him in as the Cowboys QB right now compared to what they've had the past 5 games.
