Default What is with 2015 Topps Chrome designs?

This year the design is horrible. Its hard to even distinguish the difference between some of the cards. While on ebay looking at ty montgomery cards I couldn't even tell it was a superfractor. I feel this is the worst design they have had to date.

I don't mind the throwbacks, that 89 Topps design is one of my favorites because of... well, nostalgia. That looks like it's a bad scan, since you can sort of see the spirals for the superfractor design at the bottom. The design of the base cards is what I'm not keen on.

I actually like this throwback version. I dont generally love the 2015 topps/chrome design but design is a personal thing.

Pretty sweet card. Was watching when it was pulled last night. Scan is definitely not doing it justice. I brought up similar topic in the superfractor tracking thread yesterday. The base supers really don't pop very well. Generally speaking though these insert supers look great.

I love the throwbacks.

The base is absolutely atrocious, though. They look so incredibly tacky and cheap, it's sad. Chrome used to be classically beautiful. I think this is one of the ugliest sets I have ever seen.

The base set looks like Strata and Bowman had an inbred child.

The retro inserts are awesome, though.

A perfect description. I am not a fan of it myself. I do like the inserts, but that's about all I like of it so far. I'm somewhat tempted to buy 4-5 boxes of 2015 Jumbo HTA - It's the same base card design, just not chromed out, with more hits, patches and cheaper too.
