Okay then...we have tons of young talent and potential. Lots of these other rosters don't.

Let's also not forget that if we had a kicker that wasn't injured for the first 4 games of the season, we'd be sitting at 6-4 right now with little complaint. But I guess Chip Kelly isn't smart enough to know that we should have had a backup kicker on the 53-man roster to prepare for that, right? What a fool

Only two others in the NFL: Pete Carroll and Bill Belichick

And for good reason too. All three of these guys are some of the smartest minds in football.

Fair enough, but I meant the ones with the same or worse record than the eagles like you said. That's one of the main reasons why people are freaking out.

That's fair, but it's a sad day and age where everyone expects instant results almost overnight. The NFL is a "what have you done for me lately" league, and people fail to understand that there's more to it than instant results. Development and coaching is very important as well, and that doesn't come instantly. You can't drop someone with Kelly's pedigree in the hopes of gaining short term success. You need to look toward the future as well, and most of the reliable talent I see on this team comes from young, developing players which is a good thing to have.

People want to see him fail because of his arrogance, he is never wrong attitude, nothing is his fault, his system can win no matter what the talent is...just a few reasons maybe

This is probably the main reason. He never comes out and blames things on himself like a lot of coaches do, so I think that's why media and people want to see him fail so badly.

But that's always a common misconception about how his system can "win no matter what the talent is." He's never said that. People just like to think that since he's made a lot of moves on this roster. But really he's just being a smart businessman and evaluating the values of each player and their significance on the team.

Ok let's say he isn't a bust, but let's not go so far and say that he is a star player. Since when does college count? I can list a multitude of stud college players, that never made it in the NFL. He had one good year with Buffalo. He also might never be the same player from college b/c of injuries. That's the problem. Eagles fans were assuming Agholor would be Jerry Rice, Eric Rowe would be Ronnie Lott, Kiko would be Jack Lambert. Potential means nothing. Until a player becomes a consistently productive player in the NFL, nothing else matters. People get too wrapped up in what could be, instead of what is. You could say what if for any NFL team. Heck, the Giants could have won 2-3 extra games, if we play the one play here or there excuse. It's time to take off the rose colored glasses and stop making excuses for a team that just isn't that good.

Like you I'm sure?

Go ahead jump on the Chip hate bandwagon but don't be cheering when he turns this team around.

Nobody assumed any of those things I don't know what you're talking about.

Kiko is a star player when healthy. If you don't believe that, you haven't watched him play before. It wasn't just one good season in Buffalo. He's been a freak for a long time.

Honestly, when he wipes himself after dropping a deuce, does he hit you with his right or left hand?

No, the fact that we keep getting the same crap product on the field every week tells me he's not doing anything about it.

I get it, you're a big Chip fan. I was as big of a believer as anyone. Still hopeful.

Thing is, just because you like a coach or a team doesn't mean you shouldn't criticize them when they deserve it. You keep pushing this narrative that all of us Eagles fans aren't real fans and don't know anything about football because we're criticizing Chip.

ANYONE who loses the last 2 games the way this team just did deserves criticism. They were absolutely pathetic games. Acknowledging that doesn't make you less of a fan, in fact just the opposite. If the fans were happy with mediocrity Lurie would never make any changes.

I am thinking right hand hits the chin for it's way up in there.

I know one thing. When I was at Syracuse I was not on a message board all day and night. My man needs to come up for air sometime I would think. Rosie gets old real quick

They are one game ahead of the Cowboys. I can not wait to read his response in this thread once the Cowboys draw even.

Sucks if this is true based on his play the last few weeks... (I doubt it is)

..and it looks like LAGalaxy made his account inactive. Didn't agree with the personal attacks on him but damn, it's like Chip Kelly could never do any wrong with him. I can't imagine what he would have done if MetsPlaya was still here.

I was looking at a lot of plays again today. Kiko was terrible, almost as if he didn't want to have any contact. Also Maxwell was heartless and often effortless in the game. One time connor barwin out ran him to the carrier despite Maxwell having a five yard lead.....

as for the kid, hopefully the threads can now get to good eagles talk.

I have never seen someone so delusional, when it comes to critiquing their team. As previously mentioned, maybe this thread can get back to talking about the Eagles in a rational manner.

Yeah, I think he kinda liked the banter, he kept going on about people yelling for Chip Kelly to be fired, but I only saw one maybe two people on here say that.

For what it's worth, my dad knows the equipment manager for the Eagles, and said that the players were complaining and questioning Chip Kelly after the game.

I mean obviously, but just saying that there is a lot of disarray in the locker room right now

I think Thursday is a really big game for them for a lot of reasons.

If they somehow manage to go out there and lay another huge egg, things are gonna get ugly(er) around here fast.

Listening to Chip bristle at the notion that he needs to yell and motivate his players to play well was pretty disheartening. "That's harry high school stuff".

Really? Obviously it's not everyone's style but it worked pretty well for some guy named Bill Parcells.

I'm starting to get why people didn't like him for his arrogance. At first I'll admit I liked that about him. But when the team is playing this badly, and he doesn't seem to think any significant changes are needed, that's a problem IMO.

Dude has literally never had to deal with adversity as a coach. The fact that this is new territory for him is troubling to say the least.

He was pretty testy yesterday during the Angelo interview and his practice interview. Was kind of surprised to hear that from him since he always seems to be pretty cool under pressure, at least from what I've seen.

Oh yeah, I listened on my way to work yesterday and was pretty surprised as well.

He got REALLY annoyed when Angelo asked him about why the defense wasn't prepared to play like he said at the post-game.

"I didn't say that! Whatever..."

Actually you did say that Chip. Probably because it was painfully obvious to anyone who watched the game on Suinday.
