I was excited to see him. I literally jumped, but it quickly went nowhere. he seemed to just be putting every one else over. but, he won that crowd. they were chanting his name far after he got tossed. the only match worth mentioning was the opener. other then that, the show was a dud. didn't accomplish anything besides feeding hunters ego more. yea the guy that wouldn't put sting over not that long ago, and who is coo of the company, is now the champ. and probably will be until mania. |

RR won't be seeing cheers like that anytime soon. He'll always be an upper tier mid-carder that they try to push as a main eventer. At least Cena had charisma.

I can say the attack on hhh and Vince got him over for a short time. but that's already gotten stale. that's why he's getting booed again. bc even tho they loved seeing the bosses get it, now it's right back to where it was before. if what you say is true at all, why was everyone on Florida booing the crap out of reigns? he's the Florida home boy and they were all over him. they were still chanting for aj 10 mins after he was tossed. |

AJ is going to be way over unless they do something insanely stupid (possible).
Add that to the eventual forming of Balor club and you have your new faces of the company. After tonight they must realize that face RR will never be who they want him to be. He has a chance as a heel though. Last edited by Ty Hope; 01-25-2016 at 12:58 AM. |

Just doing my monthly check in on wwe and saw that Triple H is the Champion tonight.. lol what a joke... Absolute joke of a product right now. The Aj styles moment was cool but im sure they will ruin it somehow

On that note though, WWE is making a mockery of the rules and regulations for the Rumble. Miz standing on the sidelines for 10 minutes. LON taking out Roman. Wyatts taking out Lesnar. At that rate, why not just bring a shotgun to the ring and threaten to shoot people if they don't jump over the top rope. Why not drive a forklift to the ring and just flip the whole thing over. It's already enough of a stretch when someone gets beatdown in the back or on their way to the ring, then someone else claims their spot. That's a stretch. Whatever this was this year, was just an absolute abortion. WWE killed the Survivor Series and now they are on their way to killing the Rumble. It just doesn't make any sense anymore. IMO, that makes 3 bad Rumbles in a row. |

Another thing. Did anyone else have a problem with all the resting in the match? Spots 4-8 was quick elimination, followed by Styles and Reigns napping. Spots 9-20 were just 10 seconds of fury followed by everyone grabbing a knee and playing patty cake in the corner. I mean, I know they had to stall to get the Wyatts and Lesnar going, but WTF? This was exponentially the least amount of action in any Rumble, ever. Up until Lesnar came in, you would have thought that this was a kick/punch competition.

I have read all the comments and would like to post mine.
Everyone reading can agree Roman Reigns cannot handle a Wrestlemania main event spot. He has been a 2 year failed experiment. Triple H will headline, hopefully versus the Rock. That's a true main event. Lesnar versus Wyatt is a great co-main event. True talent should be on top. RR deserves Rusev at Mania as the 3rd match of the night. |

Rumble was too predictable, 3 years in a row that everyone saw the finish coming from a mile away. Owens vs Ambose was match of the night. Question for you experts though... Who is up for Undertaker at WM?

Rumor has Brock and Taker (maybe Kain too) vs the Wyatts.

As a casual fan from the 80's and early 90's I was excited to watch last night. Rumble was always my favorite as a kid. Last night was just dumb. Were the rules the same back in the early 90's? I have no idea but at least they tried to not make it so obvious. I said the same as everyone else has already in this thread...and I know nothing about current WWE... as soon as Roman went back to the dressing room I said he'd be back. Why would the Miz randomly sit there, and then join when guys are still fighting, if you're allowed to not participate until you want just wait until there is 1 guy left. Lesnar is just going to walk away when a bunch of eliminated guys eliminate him? The whole thing was stupid. We all suspend some logic for a few hours but lets at least try to make it make sense.

Maybe my expectations were at all time lows due to the last few years, but I loved the Rumble. The Reigns main event picture has been a total dud for a year now, we saw HHH winning a mile away, and I sure wish Bray Wyatt was more menacing than 1/4 of an elimination and hiding behind a wall of dudes... But I've been tuning out all the Reigns stuff for a while.
Highlight for me was Owens... restarting the brawl with Ambrose, seeing him get at Zayn again, eliminating AJ Styles. That guy is in the center of all my favorites right now. I'm also happy Kane and Big Show didn't chuck a quarter of the roster out of the ring, hopefully they retire soon! |
