Default Help on a 1998 leaf R&S longevity Geoff Jenkins

Can someone help me on this. Wondering why this card is a little pricey. I can't find any info online. Only 1 listed on eBay BIN at 64.

Price seems steep but I don't know much about these cards.

That's what I said. I know bv doesn't mean a thing but it books at 80. Burbank sports cards has it on eBay for 64. From stuff I see they have are pretty fair with their BIN prices. I can't find anything online about this card being a error card. I was just told it's a Brett favre error card.

It's a $5-$15 card. Burbank's pricing is based on BV and I'd wager their multipliers are screwy since the base issue rookies from Leaf Rookies & Stars are short-printed. If you've got a pile of Longevity's there, check for any serial numbered 01/50. The first card in the Longevity print run has a holographic finish and is a legit 1/1. There are really only 49 copies of the regular Longevity's.

That explains why it's priced that high on their end.
Would know why it's value that high with Beckett. I know dumb question. Just wondering and if I'm missing something.
None of these are 1/50 which would have been nice.

Burbanks is the most overpriced seller out there. It's ridiculous.

As already mentioned above, the OPG is probably pulling a faulty multiplier for "rookie" Longevity's and applying the same multiplier whether base version or higher priced SP base. There is no short-printing on Longevity's so it's faulty math. I've seen it in different sets.

Either that or they never adjusted their red hot rookie premiums from 1999.

Ok thanks, just wanted to make sure. I was told on Facebook it's a Brett favre error card. Lol, which didn't make any sense to me

Not sure on price but can say those are very hard pulls . In Football and basketball most rc's and stars sell high .

yeah if i remember correctly the base jenkins in the set was like massively shortprinted along with some of the other high number cards in the set. cards from the high number set was like THE Troy Glaus, Ryan Minor and JD Drew cards to have back then.

Plus Burbank is typically overpriced when it comes to their 90's inserts. so theres that too.

Jenkins and Favre look kind of sort of alike. That's probably what they meant about Favre error card.

I bought so many 98 Leaf R&S hobby packs back in 1998 and 1999 and never once pulled a Longevity. I did get to see someone pull an SP Longevity at the LCS, unfortunately it wasn't me.

I did pull a J.D. Drew when the craze was at its peak. I remember BV at that time was $100. And many were selling for that as it was an SP. Unfortunately I didn't sell it then but I did sell it with a partial (75%) set for $320 cause I needed the money a year later.

A few years (5+) later after that I started a new set and it took me a couple years to track down all of the SP's raw. I finished the 98 Leaf R&S set eventually and still have it to this day.

I know, I know... a little off topic near the end.
