So I've been looking for some certain cards from 2015 chrome that are /50 /25 or heaven forbid /5 and haven't seen many of them pop up on eBay or comc lately. Any reasonably priced anyway. I've been patient but I'm trying my best not to either crazy overpay, or starting buying something else expensive instead.
So my question to you guys is what is the best way to keep busy when you can't find the certain singles you are looking for? I don't want to just start buying boxes of cards and hoping to get lucky, that seems like a poor choice albeit a fun one. So do you guys have anything specific you do while being patient and looking for certain cards to "keep you out of trouble"? Thanks. |

More power to you... I always either overpay for the card, or end up buying a bunch of more expensive cards while I wait, then reflect on the fact that I should have just overpaid.
Although recently, I've been working in a few sets/reorganizing my storage system which has been keeping me busy |

Play this game... you will save money on cards... but you might have to buy a new phone every couple days....

Admire the cards you already have... maybe organize/catalogue them if you haven't... line them all up and make a display... read the backs... have some fun with the cards since that's what their original purpose was.

Go outside.
Or just organize your cards, scan, update want list, make sell threads here for unwanted cards, or just look at what you have and enjoy. |

I wait until the card shows up and then buy it. I won't buy boxes or other singles to "Get me through" until the specific card shows up. In the meanwhile, baseball card wise, I'll organize what I do have and browse this forum to see/read others experiences in the hobby and try to keep up with new releases/checklists and see if any cards I may like will be in such product.

I make sets. I have some junk wax hobby boxes so I am building sets the old fashioned way. Also have a ton of bowman that I need to makes sets from.
Also organize and sell a bunch of cheap stuff while you wait. No one will buy your cheap stuff, though :-)

1 - Start a thread in B/s/t section .. i know you will get those that might have it going greedy on asking price .. but you will also get those that want to help out and not hammer you on price ..
2 - Active Break Section - see if any breaks are going on of product where these cards may be .. Also , maybe you can Join some breaks with those cards .. if one pops up , just send a pm to the member that has it. 3 - Box Break Section - see #2 4 - Ebay - I also look at listings of lots of the player im looking for . your card might be mixed in there 5 - Beckett - you can always open an account there and check to see if its been graded .. they also have a marketplace that is open to search thru 6 - Other forums -- but why would you waste your time ,, am I right !!!!

Buy some 80s or 90s junk that you enjoyed as a kid. Inexpensive and fun. Good luck on your searches.

Interesting. Will cards on the somewhat rarer side be in lots? I always assumed you find a lot of base cards and middle of road inserts but not a lot of color. Will have to check it out.
