Nothing in that listing makes sense. Even the psa label is fake and the card is a reprint. I hope someone didn't get screwed given the eye appeal and centering look better than an 8 cuz the card is a fake in any case

It just looks like an old PSA label to me. I'm also curious as to why you think it's fake?

Unbelievable…

I was watching the one in the original post, I've never seen the bottom border of yellow and black be misaligned on a fake but there's definitely something screwy about that auction for sure.

Apologies what I meant was the psa label was taken from another card and then slabbed in with a reprint. The psa label was 100% not assigned to that card cuz that card is a reprint

Look at the fleer logo on the front, specifically focussing on the yellow areas. You'll see it

Definitely hard to tell with such a low quality photo. I'm more interested in the fake label claims. Any leads or thoughts on that?

You linked a decade of excellence, that's completely different. The card in the op is meant to fool you into thinking is an original. The card you posted states its not

My guess is a few dealers recognized this as a good PSA 10 candidate once the minor white on the corners magically disappears. PSA is rolling out some crap Jordan 10's lately.

Forgive my ignorance. So they released reprints that say 1986 on them? That's ridiculous

I agree the yellow triangle isn't as dark as it should be.... but could just be the camera/pic quality... unless in hand would be hard to tell if this one specifically is a fake

Tons of whitening on this thing. corners, top edge, the bottom left corner isnt even sharp. The centering really helps but i've seen and owned much sharper 8's.

There are plenty of 9's that would be better "10 candidates" than this POS for 4600+!!!!

But the one in the OP says 1986 on the back.... so is it a reprint or not?

The point that had me skeptical was the fleer logo. The real has the arrow with a darker shade of yellow to the rest as in pic 1 below. Pic 2 is from a typical reprint where the arrow lacks this darker shade. As one other guy mentioned it may just be the pic quality / lighting but I would never touch this listing

ive been studying authentic Jordan rookies for quite some time, and I wouldn't touch this one with a 10 foot pole. I feel absolutely terrible for whoever wasted their money on this. This person should go to jail for scamming out 5 grand if it is fake which in my eye test it is fake. I could be wrong because the back looks legit, the front doesn't add up.

Just for the record, I've owned many MJ rookie cards and currently have 3 complete sets of 86-87 fleer. Every time I try to take a photo with the flash on and in many certain "lights" the orange part of the fleer tag comes out yellow. I think that is what happened here. As for the price...well, I think we all know that wasn't real.
